Kapitein_Koekblik How's your deck forming and play testing going in preparation for the tourney?
If the format for your Commander Tournament is 1 v 1, I'd recommend adding Hatred into the deck. It allows you to One-Shot your opponent out of nowhere, especially since Hatred can be cast for free via Yennett's trigger.

Cloudius I've been play-testing it a fair bit the last couple of days, I'm thinking of actually cutting Jace, the Mind Sculptor from the deck. He has done nothing for me so far or he get's countered right away "because it's JtMS".
Experimenting with Beacon of Unrest, Hatred and Brilliant Ultimatum as well. Most decks at my local store are really creature heavy or people depend on their graveyards to much. Hence Beacon of Unrest being a good try out, so far it's 50/50 as it's really situational (it's probably not making the cut).
Hatred being a good wincon, has shown that it's not handy to use when you still have 2 opponents left if you knock one out with it, let stand the amount of life you have left at that point.
Brilliant Ultimatum Has shown potential, as I always pick out the opponent at my table with the least knowledge of MTG to make the decision (I know it's awful, but they learn from their mistakes right away). This card is my current spotholder for replacing JtMS
Scroll Rack is the MVP so far for me, great value for 1 mana. The Mana curve with the rocks is just right if you cut Worn Powerstone, earliest I got Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign out was on turn 4 with Swiftfoot Boots.
So far I'm really loving the deck, although at certain times I feel like I could really use some life gain now and again. Going to look into that a little bit the coming days. So far I've won 4 out of 6 matches with it so can't complain. If you have any better suggestions let me know.

Kapitein_Koekblik your assessment is spot on and the same as mine.
I'd take out JTMS and Beacon of Unrest. If you're really keen on Graveyard Recursion due to your creature heavy meta, I'd recommend Rise of the Dark Realms (Why take one when we can take ALL)!
Hatred is only good when you're in a 1 v 1 situation, else it's dangerous and marginal suicidal to use it in multiplayer games. LOL
You may wish to play test Hall of the Bandit Lord and Insidious Dreams too. I've been wanting to test them out but haven't got my hands on these cards. Hall is situational cause the ETB tapped really hurts our tempo. An "end turn" Dreams followed by Brilliant Ultimatum is a good combo though!
Let me know how the testings go. Good times ahead! Cheers.

Cloudius went 3W-1L today. Switched some cards at the last moment after checking out the competition. Out of the 16 people there I noticed that at least 5 played with an alternative wincon deck, so I swapped out Jace for Commandeer and Dimir Machinations for Denying Wind. I know Denying Wind sounds janky but it really did a number on 2 people in those 4 rounds, killing their combo's and removing their wincons. It basically left them with a dead pile of cards and they were sitting ducks from that point onward. Them complaining after that Denying Wind should be banned was icing on the cake. I wouldn't play it other wise to be fair, at a certain point I had it in my starting hand and if I didn't have a Scroll Rack to go with it I would have mulliganed. Won twice with Approach of the Second Sun (feels good man) and once with Misdirection redirecting a 25 mana Fireball that was aimed towards me to another player with low HP and then killing the last guy with commander damage and extra turns galore. The last round was undo-able seeing one guy went infinite with his Narset, Enlightened Master on turn 5 and no one could do anything anymore at that point.
All in all, works great! Still needs some tuning here and there, but it also depends on what people are playing. Was looking into maybe putting Timetwister in their but I get the feeling I give my opponents more answers to the cards I'm going to play.
Will try to update you if I find something out.
October 28, 2018 10:53 a.m.
Kapitein_Koekblik Congrats, 3W-1L is pretty awesome results there. Narset was the original "Top Deck Wins" commander so she's pretty hard to beat once the stars are aligned for her.
Pretty smart move to swap in Denying Wind to adjust to the meta. You can also consider Sadistic Sacrament if the meta is Combo heavy, since sometimes, 3 cards is all it takes to shut down a combo deck and 15 cards is just icing on the cake. Misdirection is simply wicked there, great job!
I tend to agree with you about Timetwister. This deck is tutor heavy but lacks card draw engines. I did run some card draws in my earliest version of this deck but has since removed them, e.g. Overflowing Insight, as drawing more cards don't win me the games, tutoring for the right card(s) does.
Looking forward to your updates! Good luck with the games!

i would recommend Dig Through Time and Soothsaying for the filtration. I would reccomend Swan Song for countermagic Swarm Intelligence Sentinel Tower and Aetherflux Reservoir for storming off and Proteus Staff to order your deck to hit those odd bombs for yennet. also Mana Severance helps with the charbelcher

Dawnbreaker7727 Thanks for your suggestions but this is not a Storm deck to begin with so some of the suggested cards won't fit well in here.
Proteus Staff is a already key card in the deck, one which I discussed at length in my Primer.

im sorry, i stopped reading when i had a feel for what the deck is trying to do. i at least hope that my other suggestions were helpful,
November 8, 2018 10:08 a.m.
Dawnbreaker7727 No worries, this deck is a pretty unique oddball and one of its kind out there so I'm not surprised you missed the finer nuances of how this deck functions.
Perhaps you can give the Primer another shot. A +1 is good too if you like the deck after reading the Primer. Cheers!

I'm sorry, but this page is absolutely unreadable.
November 11, 2018 9:46 p.m.
ChainsawPolice I appreciate the feedback. I'm aware the page loads slightly slower due to the customization and aesthetic features I've added.
Aside from that, which part(s) of the page did you have difficulty reading?
Let me know so I can work towards making the page more reader friendly while satisfying my own artistic vanity. Cheers!

The whole design is a mess... Too many clashing colours and images. The fonts are unreadable and cluttered. Honestly, I didn't even read the decklist because I'd be straining my eyes to do so.
Also, having the Subscribe button below the comment box is a dark pattern, and that's scummy as hell.
November 11, 2018 11:47 p.m.
ChainsawPolice It is unfortunate my designs don't appeal to you.
Thanks for stopping by anyway. Your time is better spent reviewing other pages which you can view with "comfort and ease".
The way the platform is coded, you auto-subscribe to the pages you've commented on. Please do unsubscribe to this page since neither the decklist nor the page designs interest you.
Wish you luck ahead and enjoy EDH!

+1 for the wonderful coding! Can't say I enjoy everything from a graphic design standpoint(you do you friend), but I respect the coding wizardry!
Interested in how you dropped an image into and made the font bigger in the title box. Perhaps you could reveal your secrets :)

Suns_Champion thanks for the +1 and feedback.
I'm currently out of town but once I get back, I'd link up with you for constructive suggestions on how the designs can be enhanced.
I'm happy to share some of the codings I've came up with too then. Will ping you when am home. Cheers!

Suns_Champion we can remove the entire title box too like my deck below.

Cloudius I wanted to mention that I'm still in love with this deck and that I've been experimenting with Notion Rain for card draw and deck manipulation and In Garruk's Wake because I'm seeing a lot of Super Best Friends and creature heavy decks lately. Wonder if you have any new additions since the Guilds of Ravnica release.
November 25, 2018 6:12 a.m.
Kapitein_Koekblik Thank you for your continued support for this deck!
In Garruk's Wake is a good answer to the meta you described above but is also a dead card when drawn early. Alternatively, you may wish to consider adding cards to accelerate the deck when going up against Super Friends archetype. Low CMC card draws/scry spells can help you dig for the needed combo pieces faster (e.g. Preordain, Portent, Serum Visions, etc). As the saying goes - "The best defense is good offense...". Throwing you some food for thought, let me know whether this would work in your meta.
For GRN, I'd say the following cards are worth considering:
Discovery / Dispersal - The CMC of split cards is the sum of both sides, making this a 7 CMC card. Discovery is low cost with embedded Surveil mechanic. Dispersal is situational but may come in handy mid/late game, should we ever get there. I'd prefer this card over Notion Rain for its versatility.
Mission Briefing - Surveil + Let you recast goodies from graveyard (e.g. Tutors, Extra Turn spells).
Hope these helps! Let me know how your games went. Cheers!

Love the deck but I feel it needs more lands I would never draw a 3 land hand with only 35 lands maybe up it to 38-40
December 9, 2018 11:03 p.m.
BlakeLeask thanks for the suggestion. I started with slightly more lands too but progressively replaced some with rocks (currently running 13 ramp) to accelerate the deck and allow me to drop Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign early.
It's a delicate balance so am still refining it. Do play test the deck on T/O and let me know what you think.
Give me a +1 too if you like how it runs. Cheers!

Since it seems you have a pretty unlimited budget here, lemme give you some budgetless suggestions ;)
Transmute Artifact is pretty much a strict upgrade over Reshape (though you could run both). It costs less mana, doesn't make you pay until resolution, and if it's countered you don't lose the sacrificed artifact.
I know it's on your maybeboard, but if you get the $$$, I'd absolutely run Imperial Seal over Liliana Vess, since you don't seem to get much benefit from her non-tutoring modes. While she lets you tutor twice, the significant decrease in cost seems very relevant. If you want to run both, my first cut would be Not Forgotten.
With 13 mana rocks, have you considered Paradox Engine as another way to cast those expensive spells you're trying to hit with your commander?
Hope this helps! :)
December 10, 2018 1:47 a.m.
Daedalus19876 Thanks for your suggestions.
I agree with everything you said except one point - I do have a limited budget. ROFLOLMAOMG!
I've included Transmute Artifact into my wish list, and I'd continue to wish for it (if my friends are reading this...cough... my next birthday... cough... present please... cough).
Given a choice, I'd run both Imperial Seal and Liliana Vess, the latter's 2 cards tutor (before she runs out of loyalty) is extremely useful in helping me set up my combo pieces and try to win from there. That said, as mentioned in my Primer, this being a creatureless deck means I've very limited ways of protecting her from combat damage, apart from Yennett herself.
Good point on Paradox Engine too.
Keep the ideas flowing. Hope you like how this deck runs too! Cheers.

AstralKingKazma Thanks for your compliments and feedback! Am loving it a lot since it's a home brewed deck and is extremely fun to pilot. Give a +1 if you've tested the deck and find it fun too!
Yes the loading may lag slightly, especially if you're viewing from a mobile phone. I'd work on improving the loading time, without compromising the aesthetic customization I've put into the page.
Any feedback and/or suggestions are welcomed so keep them coming. Cheers!
