Completely slipped my mind! Good catch. Adding it for sure. Thanks!

Also in a monocolored deck, I think the new Myriad Landscape might do more than T.Expanse or E.wilds. It does use more of your resources, but is higher impact for a single card. It's up to you though.

I will probably run it in conjunction with Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds, just on the off chance I can get extra landfall triggers from Admonition Angel.

The problem with Terramorphic Expanse, Evolving Wilds, and Myriad Landscape is that they do filter, but they slow you down, with the other ramp in this deck I think all they would do is slow you down, so i would either remove them, or add early game pillow fort cards like Ghostly Prison, Suppression Field, or Stony Silence (sideboard probably depending on meta). I would also think this deck could benefit from Open the Vaults to regain what you lose in the early game after you get Avacyn out and protected. Also your board wipes are all single use, why not run World Slayer Avacyns best friend? Lastly, I think Heliod, God of the Sun would be better than Brave the Sands and I think Luminarch Ascension would be a fantastic addition to any deck with pillow elements.
For more pillow-y goodness check out my pillow fort deck! Pillow sphere

Wallet7865: I wouldn't run Worldslayer because I'm not into land wiping. I could do the same thing with Mycosynth Lattice + Nevinyrral's Disk , but it's too aggressive for me. I prefer to win games, rather than just make everyone scoop, lol.
Stony Silence would be disastrous for me in this deck, even to play early on and pray for something to remove it. My reason for running Brave the Sands is the extra blocking. Since I'm running fewer, larger creatures, having them be able to block an extra one can be a lifesafer if I don't have Hundred-Handed One or one of my bodyguards out. Still, Heliod would not be bad in here.
Open the Vaults is a maybe. After getting a good Planar Cleansing off I certainly wouldn't want to cast it, in many situations. I'll have to think about it.
I was running Ghostly Prison in here originally, and I took it out to try and balance out the mana curve. But now that I think I've got that sorted, I'll try to add it back in, because it's worth running in just about any white deck.
As for the Terramorphic Expanse, Evolving Wilds, and Myriad Landscape, I've actually been loving them in here. Since white has so little in the way of extra draw, deck-thinning acts as a way to help ensure that I'm getting good pulls, though Endless Horizons and Land Tax are the best for that. I don't need to do much during the first few turns, and they can actually be really awesome if I draw them while I have Admonition Angel out. Even with the lands coming in tapped, I've been able to reliably get Avacyn out on turns five, six, and seven in playtesting.
I like your pillow fort deck. I have an Oloro pillow fort deck: Viva El Oloroso!. Dovescape + Blazing Archon FTW.

Oh--and as for Luminarch Ascension, it just seems too slow and too conditional for me until late game when I can both protect myself from damage and protect it from getting exiled. I think Angelic Accord or Moonsilver Spear would be more consistent.

I do like the idea of running Suppression Field, maybe. It could get a little annoying when equipping or tapping mana rocks, though. Definitely more of a sideboard card.

Forgot Stony Silence is board wide. and forgive me but in my personal experience, pillow forting is just as much of "them scooping" as land destruction. When I play my pillow fort my playgroup usually decides whether or not I win by my third turn, if my hand wasnt rubbish they usually scoop (consequently i dont get to play that deck nearly as much as I'd like)
Brave the Sands is a weak card, so is Archetype of Courage, they're weak even in formats with half as much health, theyre both pale comparisons of what youre really trying to do, instead I would run something like Guardian of the Gateless or Palace Guard, then protecting them with what you already have or adding Mother of Runes
Suppression Field works in your favor for the most part, this deck only needs to be fast in getting your commander on the field, after that you can be as slow as you want, same applies to Open the Vaults cast it after you have Avacyn out and you should come out ahead anyway.
The problem I have overall with this deck is there is no real, concrete, win condition. This is a deck of answers, even my pillow fort deck has 8 cards that can be win conditions on their own,

I had Guardian of the Gateless in here and I took her out to make room for my bodyguards, but now that you brought her up, I'm realizing that she's way better than Hundred-Handed One I'm going to swap him out for her. Thanks for clearing up my thinking on that.
Palace Guard is sweet. I'll swap Archetype of Courage for him. I didn't know about him! I was living in Mexico when M11 was out and wasn't really playing. He'd be great against early goblin swarms.
The win condition I have planned for this deck is just straight commander damage, which are the decks I'm finding that I enjoy most (with the exception of my zombie deck.) Avacyn has evasion and it's easy to get her pumped up to at least 11 power so she can take out a player in two swings. Maybe adding more double-strike and trample into the mix will help.
Thanks for weighing in here. Your advice has been helpful. This is my first mono-white deck and I want it to rock.

And yes--you're right about straight up pillow fort. I almost never play my Oloro deck unless it's with a new play group or with someone who has done something really douchy to me in EDH before, like changing my life total to 10 with Sorin Markov. Someone (half-jokingly) once referred to me as "that Dovescaping motherfucker" at my LGS XD.

No love for Serra Ascendant ? She seems like a staple white EDH card to me

JohnnyCrass: Nah, she's not for me. She's wonderful, but I feel like she's abused in the EDH format. She's one of those cards that was not designed for a format where players start with 40 life, though not as bad as Felidar Sovereign.

Fair enough. My group enjoys the cutthroat of the poorly formatted cards like her so seeing with a white deck without her threw me for a loop. Overall the deck seems very well balanced though white was always a tad slow for my blood.

JohnnyCrass: I was concerned about that when I went about building this deck, but I'm finding that it's got enough ramp and control to counteract the slowness I associate with mono-white. I am more accustomed to Orzhov and mono-black decks. If you feel so inclined and get a minute, give it a few playtests and tell me what you think.

I also run an Avacyn edh and i suggest palisade giant, because with him and avacyn out no one can stop you

clowe304433: Yeah, I've thought about Angelic Accord. I think I'd want to incorporate just a little more lifegain in here to make it more reliable. Door of Destinies is probably going to be a little slow in this build, since I'm actually only running 13 angels. Either would be good choices but would require a bit of tweaking to really benefit from them. Thanks for the suggestions!

She's tough to build around. Mono-white is sloooow. But for late-game, you can't beat Avacyn. I'm finding it's largely a matter of staying alive until you can get her out. Let me check out your Marath decklist.

This deck is looking good. Would like to know what you think the weaknesses are so I could help a bit more. That being said, its going to be hard to give good suggestions without breaking the flavor of your deck, so consider my suggestions as a spit-balling method. You won't hurt my feelings for rejecting any of these.
A word of advice: Any changes you do make to this deck, I would make them slowly (no more than 2 cards at a time). Major changes may give you a false impression of what the problem areas are.
Creatures to consider:
Hollowhenge Spirit A flash flyer with temporary removal.
Ornitharch Gives your opponents a choice, but has a good casting cost for either 1 or 3 flyers.
Blazing Archon Creatures can't attack you. Period. Can i haz Lightning Greaves, please?
If you like Sensei's Divining Top (which manipulates your topdeck), you may want to upgrade to a Scroll Rack (which manipulates your hand). They do different things, but understanding both cards may help with your play-style. Land Tax + Scroll Rack combo AKA "The Tax Rack" still ruffles the feathers of Legacy players today.
I'm a big fan of Ghostly Prison, Crawlspace, and Silent Arbiter for decks like this. You'll likely be a late target with obstacles like these in EDH, giving you time to establish your board-state.
Leyline of Sanctity Give yourself hexproof.
Storm Herd Epic when it goes off. And who wouldn't want to lose to a card like this?
Pariah Redirect damage to any creature on the board. Even the indestructible ones like Stuffy Doll.
Maze of Ith Not a budget deck card, but it shuts down baddies with a quickness. Endless possibilities with this card and a good investment for high-tier decks. Bonus points for using the version from The Dark series.
Celestial Mantle Goes great on flyers.
Vow of Duty Great card for EDH. Tends to provoke combat between everyone else but you.
Rest in Peace Keeps others from playing in graveyards. Most mono-white should love this.
Journey to Nowhere Good removal without seeming too aggressive. Cheap too!
If you start playing around 12 or more enchantments in this deck, consider Sigil of the Empty Throne and Open the Vaults

Workhorse: Thanks for taking a look and for your suggestions! These are all great.
I was running Witchbane Orb in here not too long ago as a budget replacement for Leyline of Sanctity (my playset is in the sideboard of my modern deck at the moment), but I swapped it out for Dawn Charm for a bit more versatility, since I'm also running Aegis of the Gods. I definitely think Leyline deserves a place in here, though.
As for flavor, I'm really not worried about it. This isn't even really an Angel deck when you look at it. It's almost more pillow fort than angels.
I was running Pariah, but I swapped it out for creatures that have the same or similar effects, namely Palisade Giant, Weathered Bodyguards, and Veteran Bodyguard, just for added efficiency.
I don't know why I didn't know about Storm Herd. That card is just ridiculous. I'll find room for it here.
I like the idea of Maze of Ith and I've been thinking about it, but I wish it could tap for mana. With such a high-cost commander, it's such a pain to even draw Boseiju, Who Shelters All early in the game, since it only taps for mana if I pay life. Chromatic Lantern could solve this issue, but it seems like it would take up the slot of something that could be far more useful. I don't know.
Vow of Duty would be a great political card in here. I love the idea. I might swap Defang for it, though the primary reason I have Defang in here is because I regularly play against a Purphoros goblin deck.
Thanks for checking this out and for your thoughtful suggestions. I'll be meditating on all of these!
