So to begin straight down the list we have Ajani's Pridemate. Ideally, he is a kill card. This deck revolves around gaining life and the faster he hits the field the stronger he'll get (and who doesnt want to get stronger and bigger, lol).
Next, we have a card that is expensive for reasons beyond my intellect.
Auriok Champion
!!! Back in my day if you wanted to shut down $hit with a white weenie you rocked
Paladin en-Vec
. Now, we have this Champion and a Forge-Tender trying to fit the slot. ok, we look at the mana. Yes, shes cheap to cast and a hell of a weapon on the table against black and red. Is she worth $40? Well, shes in the deck because, yes, though shes $40 shes pretty 'Bad-Ass'! Her second ability speaks for itself. A Soul Warden with protection from the most violent colors. 'nuff said about her.
Knight of the White Orchid is amazing. First strike and a fetch for 2! If i have to explain his worth to any Mono White deck than I am sorry... You shouldn't be playing this game (no offense intended).
Nyx-Fleece Ram provides life and is as awesome a blocker as blockers come.
Soldier of the Pantheon
is an antidote to most decks in regard to gaining life. Multicolored is all over the place and hungry for deck structure. If a mono deck pops up then he can easily be sideboarded out.
Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant gain crazy life!!! Their accomplishments, alone, are legendary in every White deck.
Suture Priest is half a Warden/Attendant with a twist. He takes life as well as give it. All he has to do is remain on the battle field.
Now, through recommendation, I found
Chalice of Life
. Alongside Ajani's Pridemate this is for sure a kill card. When you drop it you should already be capable of flipping it. If not, GAIN LIFE with it until you can!!!
Deathrender is a punch into your opponents face. Unexpected and vicious!!! Neverending and reliable. Throw it on a life gainer in order to switch up against your Pridemate's.
Leonin Sun Standard
is the finisher all these pesky life gainers need. This Artifact can seal the game as early as turn 3 against certain decks.
And finally Ajani Goldmane... Damn, he is so cool!!! Gain life, make your killers stronger, and then drop a REAL killer. 'nuff said.
The sideboard is always in question. Right now, I have Kor Firewalker in place of the ever expensive Spellskite. Against Red, this Soldier is quite awesome (and we all know how much we hate being down 12 life on turn 3 against Modern Burn).
Leonin Elder
comes in against Artifacts because I like him. He can easily be replaced with an artifact killer like Aura of Silence.
Norn's Annex is for those pesky weenies (Elf-Ball, Red Burn, Knights, Zombies, etc). Oh, those WEENIES!!!!!
Now, Finally, 'D' card!!!?!!! Path to Exile... this beauty was placed in this sideboard for one Modern creature, and one modern creature only...that wretched-evil-disgusting-beautiful-beast that we know as the Phyrexian Obliterator.
I hope you enjoy this deck as much as i have had playing with it. I sometimes feel invincible with it.
