Weirding Land Lockdown

Modern*

DonaldF

Zur's Weirding is one of the most interesting card's in Magic. For just four mana, it single-handedly warps the entire game. Most importantly, it stops the drawing of any cards either player may find useful. Your opponent can't advance their hand, but neither can you. How can you take advantage of this position? There may be multiple ways to answer this question, but I went with nuking the board, then allowing for manlands to finish the opponent. Ramp is also key to pay for our 4-mana cards and manlands.

Ramp Package - Noble Hierarch and Birds of Paradise are essential to early, any-color ramp. Sylvan Caryatid is great as a multi-colored tapper and as an aggro blocker.

Combo Package - Maxed out Zur's Weirding and Idyllic Tutors. Serum Visions can help find these, but also fetch a wrath if we aren't looking for more.

Support Package - Wrath of God and Supreme Verdict clean up the mess we let accumulate on the opponent's side of the board. The damage to our rampers is rather unfortunate, and I'm not sure how badly this hurts our land activation. Path to Exile gets rid of threatening early creatures as well as after the lockdown. Terra Eternal and Detention Sphere are tutor targets for Idyllic Tutor when we don't need more Zur's Weirdings. Terra Eternal protects our manlands from being blown up and makes them all the more formidable on the battlefield. Detention Sphere acts as a remove spell and can also clear other obstructions.

Land Package - Forests make up all of our untapped lands so we can aim for mana dork on turn one. 16x man lands, including twelve duals in our tricolor and four Treetop Villages. Celestial Colonnade and Lumbering Falls are risky options because a wrath on our mana dorks can make these unanimateable. However, this at least gives our drawn lands and dorks value after Weirding slams down

Would love any suggestions to improve this deck. Not meant to be tier, but to be unique and fun. This deck is very experimental, so I'm not even sure if its functional. But hopefully its at least a backbone for experimentation in the future.
