Sideboard

This deck is a modern combo deck that uses Blistercoil Weird and Paradise Mantle. By using a series of cantrips and untapping Blistercoil after every spell you can continuously draw and play more to tick up your storm count. The wincon is a stormed Grapeshot or a huge Blistercoil Weird who can swing for 20 damage.

After the banning of second sunrise, I think that this deck might be a fun combo deck to try instead of Eggs.

I do not take credit for this deck.

This deck was originally Masatomo Iwayama's Weirdstorm and was improved by Gavin Verhey. His article about this deck can be found here: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/rc/236

The deck itself is really solid and playtests well but I'm playing with the sideboard in order to think about what things people will use to hate on my deck. I'm taking out Aphotic Wisps because it doesn't do anything that Apostle's Blessing can't do and Apostle's Blessing is a good creature and artifact hate resistance. One card I do worry about that anyone who has to deal with storm decks is Mindbreak Trap. Mindbreak Trap would have a cost of 0 against my deck since I will make a big storm count. One easy way that I can think of to get around it is Twincast. Since Mindbreak Trap could only be used once I go off and play Grapeshot I think only 1 Twincast should be sufficient.I also think that Izzet Charm might be a good addition so I'm going to add 1 of those as well.

Sideboard: -2 Aphotic Wisps / +1 Twincast , +1 Izzet Charm
