I would run a few more fetchlands, (Polluted Delta, Misty Rainforest, Windswept Heath) because you can still grab your Tundra and Hallowed Fountain.

As much as I love Nix, what purpose does boarding it in do? What does it combat?

Pacts are the big thing, but i know people who play omniscience in my local meta

If your early game is weak, you have two options: ramp harder so you can skip by it as fast as possible, or include more early-game cards. Your 1- to 3-drop slots are occupied by cards counterspells, tutors, and a few permanents that don't make an immediately relevant impact on the game.

Then again, I'm not sure whether those couple turns will really leave you all that vulnerable. Most decks don't have many ways to punish the early game.

Also, is there a reason you don't run Mana Crypt?

Epochalyptik, thank you for the suggestion! No reason except not having a spare one. I am going to put it onto the list though. I think I will sideboard Final Judgement for it.

id drop Mana Crypt because your going to go into the late game with this deck and it might start hurting you

Mana crypt is strong ramp that i can get rid of. On top of that, other people are keen to destroy it

I can see Oloro, Ageless Ascetic commanders liking Alhammarret's Archive, but save for Sphinx's Revelation I don't see much lifegain, nor card draw engines for that matter. Since only cards beyond the first are doubled, I don't see this helping you too often, and in addition it costs 5, so I'd consider it a potential cut.

Also, apart from Sphere of Safety, what does Enchanted Evening synergize with?

Speaking of card draw engines, Narset Transcendent? Teferi, Temporal Archmage is rather underrated since, using his second ability, he can cost you a max 2 mana (and a minimum of 0), and you can filter which card you want from his +1. Another useful planeswalker is Tamiyo, the Moon Sage since she can either tax mana or tap attacks with her first ability, draw you cards with her second, and her ult wins you the game.

Enchanted evening also synergizes with Greater Auramancy. I had both walkers in here, but they both die too fast to be useful, especially tami, and never get their ults off. archive syngergizes with top and jace as well as revelation. Not to mention consecrated sphinx and rhystic study. I am also finding a spot for cleansing meditation, making evening even more viable. I think teferi is a bit too expensive for what he does, at least in this deck. thanks for the suggestions though shermanido37

Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite? It at least keep your opponent's creatures fairly weak so even if they have the mana to attack, it won't do much. Or you could just use Blazing Archon and they can't attack you at all. Equip him with Lightning Greaves with Avacyn, Angel of Hope out and now they can't do stuff for a while.

Also, Academy Rector and Aura Thief are not bad options for utility. Aura Thief with Enchanted Evening out is nuts. Take all their crap even lands. Academy Rector for utility to grab whatever you want from your deck. Also, Replenish is nice as maybe even a sideboard option.

Clearly not a fun EDH deck to be played against. I feel bad if you are playing with a friend.

This is easily the best Stax build I've seen for Augustin. A couple thoughts, though I don't doubt that you've done extensive testing:

  • Austere Command, in my experience, is one of the best white mass removal spells in the format due to its modal nature. Especially since you can cast it for 5 and not 6, I'm tempted to say it's worth Wrath of God's slot--you don't seem to have any desire to run mass LD, so casting cost wouldn't be a huge concern, and having Command's options is usually stronger than the "can't regenerate" clause.
  • You seem to be running no recursion and no grave hate. Have you considered Rest in Peace or similar strategies that hose reanimation and death triggers?
