Damn that's good. Love all the combos, +1 for the deck and +5 (I wish) for the opening line

replace Sylvan Caryatid with Birds of Paradise and you can play Maelstrom Archangel turn 3.

Can't believe I forgot about Birds of Paradise ! That really helped, thanks.

I'd try to put in a few dual-lands, even if you cant afford expensive ones. Fist of Suns is a great way to cheat out fatties, and Whispersilk Cloak does a lot to protect Maelstrom Archangel , Elvish Piper , and your fatties.

So you know, Maelstrom Nexus doesn't trigger off of something the turn you play it, because your first spell of that turn would have been Maelstrom Nexus, and it doesn't trigger itself because it's not in play. I use Nexus in a field control 5 color deck I use.

Otherwise, the deck looks nice!

Why not Hellkite Overlord ? Maybe 2 Godsire and 2 Hellkites. But considering all the large creatures you can put out so fast a large haste Flampeler might not make a difference.

Wow! With all the big guys hitting so quick survival is almost impossible! You should look into Worldspine Wurm and Engulfing Slagwurm to give a little bit more in the beatdown/field control category. A 15/15 trample that becomes 3 5/5 tramples or a creature that makes blocking less than useless and heals you in return would really benefit you. Watch out for someone getting a surprise early Lord of the Void though. Those can tear decks like this apart. All in all though a great deck! +1 for the concept and bringing a fattie like Progenitus back to modern! Could ya take a look at my Hythonia's Lair deck and give any advice?

I wonder if Omniscience fits here?

Surprisingly this is the first deck I've seen that goes turn one BoP turn two Chromatic Lantern and I expected it to be much more common. Very nice.

How 'bout Lightning Greaves ? Could protect your dudes big time and give em haste. You'd even be able to use the piper the turn she hits the field for one additional green.

And afterwards attack with the creature that was put on the battlefield (as long as it's not Progenitus :P)

This deck is pretty inconsistent though I can't say anything that would really help you much. My only experience with these types of gateway decks are ones with Master Transmuter in them. Too many targets, and not enough gateways. Keep on trying though. You'll get there.

In play testing, the deck has been very consistent. I have 12 different gateways, that's 1/5th of the deck. I always have a fatty out by turn 5, unless I kept a hand where I should have mulled which is normal for most decks.

Play tested and lol'd, Progenitus turn 5 is too funny, although i had a few bad hands, it was pretty fun to try. +1

Channel the Suns maybe? You can keep those hands with only one ramper and still be on schedule for your T3 Maelstrom Archangel .

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn would be nice here. And because you cast the card with Maelstrom Archangel you will get the free turn :)

This deck is such a joke and disrespect to magic. I want to see this deck in action :)
