First off you want to play a number of Moonmist, you can't rely on your wolves flipping naturally. Secondly, Young Wolf and Village Messenger are the best one-drops available in werewolves and should be the one-drop of choice.

You also need the lord cards, Mayor of Avabruck  Flip and most importantly Immerwolf (Immerwolf makes it so once you flip your werewolves they never flip back leaving them in there most lethal state).

Basically, drop the Eldrazi werewolves and Spirit of the Hunt. Your mana dork can be Scorned Villager  Flip, you may also want to look at Pyreheart Wolf for menace, and down the line Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip.

Fun stuff here. I'm an advocate for going lower to the ground with werewolves because of the speed you need to make flips happen. I know Eldrazi Werewolves aren't that popular, but have you considered Waxing Moon into Kessig Prowler  Flip? It's a powerful turn two combo that leaves you with a 4/4 that can only be blocked by one creature, with trample on turn 2. Not only that, but once you find a way of making it stick with hexproof, it can ping away once you get some Howlpack Resurgences going.

Thanks for the suggestion CavusCanis

I actually never thought of that combo. My deck actually startedd out as more of a Eldrazi werewolf deck, but i ended up relacing Kessig Prowler  Flip for Wolfbitten Captive  Flip since i didnt know about that combo and liked Wolfbitten Captive  Flip ability more. But definetly a combo i will remember.

You can also make Kessig Prowler  Flip unblockable using menace. That's really the only reason I run Kruin Outlaw  Flip in main deck. Once he flips and my Sinuous Predator  Flips are out, I have 4/4s that are unblockable for as long as Kruin Outlaw is transformed. Immerwolf makes that permanent.

I've had some fun games that way. :)

Its a little slow, but my friend runs Wolfir Silverheart in his werewolf deck. Its really dangerous b/c its five mana for 12 power.

Thanks Kyln, yea it seems a little slow but it could work. I have added it to the maybeboard and will think about it.

Wolfir Silverheart Is a fun card, I'd say it's on par with Ulrich. There's something in me that doesn't like going above four mana for a creature though. I feel the power of werewolves is in the three drops and one drops, with some expceptions in the two drop area.

Thanks CavusCanis

Sorry for the late answer. You are definetly right, at the time i chose Ulrich of the Krallenhorde  Flip because of its more control oriented effect when it tranforms.

I would:

  1. Replace Prey Uponwith Moonlight Hunt: Superior speed, and superior damage output, without risking the loss of a unit. And I would also add 1-2 more copies to the main board.
  2. Replace Shockwith Lightning Bolt / Lightning Strike: Better damage output for (almost) the same mana.
  3. Lower mainboard Moonmistto 2 or 3 and replace them with Moonlight Hunt. The 1 or 2 other copies would be side boarded.
  4. Replace Ulrich of the Krallenhorde  Flip with Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip: Cheaper, almost as stronger and has greater impact on the battlefield (removal + life gain + token generator vs buffer + removal).
  5. Replace Wolfbitten Captive  Flipwith 2x Mayor of Avabruck  Flipand 1x Lambholt Pacifist  Flip.
  6. Replace 1x Geier Reach Bandit  Flipwith 1x Daybreak Ranger  Flip.

The Lands need some heavy rework. Having 22 is a good number, but you need to improve your chances to hit duals.

  1. 4x Game Trail
  2. 4x Rootbound Crag- Evolving Wilds or similar.
  3. 8x Forest
  4. 5x Mountain
  5. 1x Kessig Wolf Run (maybe make space for another)

Would you like some side board suggestions? Hope it helps, have a good day.
