Played during the Standard legality from Eldritch Moon back to Dragons of Tarkir (July-September 2016). Landed my first and second FNM Top 8s (#5 and #3) after making some adjustments to the popular mono-W list at the time based on my local meta, which I'm pretty proud of.

The local meta was much less aggressive than the competitive scene, but held up well to early aggro, so I adjusted by splashing green for Duskwatch Recruiter and Den Protector to prepare for grindier games. The splash of black was mainly for Languish and Anguished Unmaking, though Liliana was a nice bonus. Sideboarding was mostly to add more black in if I found going mostly-aggro wasn't fast enough to win without at least one Languish happening. Also to cancel out a mean tokens deck.
