I tried your deck out and went 4-0. The closest match was against burn each won once each the final game Kalitas' huge toughness and lifelink and dragon's claw were a blessing. Other matches were Uwr midrange, infect and Jund. Thanks for the deck list post!

Magicked, which cards did you swap out to place the 2 Dragon's Claws? I've been trialing swap outs with all of the sideboard, to see what I feel works best, and am just curious which you chose.

I took out the 2x Olivias for dragons claw since she's 4 tap and at the time felt she was expendable against a fast tempo deck like burn, I put two surgical extractions in over two Terminates since the 4 lightning bolts hit any creature they cast too

I tend to take out the Olivia's in most sideboard situations. If I get to use her, she is amazing, but usually, I seem to not be able to have her make much of a change in the way of how things are already going (which could obviously be just user error at this point)... then a Lacerator and a fetch land if I need to make more room. The Terminate swap is interesting and looks like it totally worked too. Thanks for the insight.

I wouldn't mind trying out Inquisition of Kozilek and Thoughtseize. The two of them with lightning boltx4 and Terminate x4 would be nice for this deck but I love all the creatures too much to swap any out to try it lol

I totally agree with you, but every time I play test the addition of the removal cards against the original, the original moves just too fast! This really is an incredibly fun deck when the one drops match up just right to become flying behemoths by the 4th round. I am still trying to determine which I like removing best to sideboard the Explosives, for instance, and what I've determined is that getting rid of any of the Vamps just sucks. Pun intended.

yeah, side out Olivia vs. Burn, she does nothing in that matchup. siding out Terminate is fine, they're not especially creature heavy.

We need some enchantment hate in the SD. I keep loosing to Pillow Fort type of decks.

@ALBO that's a bit of an issue with Rakdos, very limited options vs. enchantments. I'll look into what I can do with artifacts.

I think the best option is EE/Ratchet Bomb and maybe start siding some hand disruption.

How has the sideboard been treating you guys? As in, what's been less useful, if anything?

For the decks being played at my local it's great. Didn't know enchantment variant decks that you all mention existed im the only one in my region with anything enchantment related and it's a bogle deck.

Love the Torpor orb and surgical extractions lol there's been an odd explosion of Geskai Geist and UWr midrange variant decks in my area oddly lol

Torpor Orb is the one card I always consider dropping, but every single time I keep finding reasons to keep it.

The Orb I love it. It is superb. Its good against Eldrazi, fairies, Snapcaster mage, WB hate bears and of course soul sisters. What I don't seem to use as much anymore is the cage, since grisel show is not as popular anymore and it doesn't do anything against living end. Also the dragons claw I don't seem to side it in as much, mostly I get to race burn pretty well.

Alright, I'll try to decide on a replacement for the cage. Boil and Slaughter Games come to mind, but I also think Pithing Needle is a good idea.
October 4, 2016 5:04 a.m.
On a second thought the cage destroys Dredge, which is very popular right now. I think the dragons claws should be considered out, maybe for some hand disruption. Pithing needle is great against plainwalkers and Ad Nauseum.

Still loving this deck Yamashi, I actually have to play Wooded Foothills instead of the Catacombs cause I'm poor but I gotta say...I put needles in over the claws because Superfriends is really popular in my meta.

Not only does Grafdigger's cage hit Dredge, but it hits Geist and UWr Midrange. I personally think the card helps me out a lot in my meta since I'm seeing a rapid rise of all 3 in both my local and the MTGtop8 listings.

This is the sideboard I'll be trying this Friday... Report to follow.

Also, what are your thoughts on swapping out 2 Vampire Lacerators for 2 Viscera Seers?
October 6, 2016 1:31 p.m.
YamishiTheWickedOne says... #25
That's not a terrible idea but you will lose some early game momentum. Viscera is godly for guaranteeing late game consistency however.

Thanks for the response. I know it is just going to take me getting out there and playing, to build and refine that skill. I've been looking around online, and it seems that Abzan and Affinity are HUGE around where I am. Some Burn, but a great deal of those other two.
