Oh, if anyone is interested in the green splash I should make special note of Ancient Grudge for the sideboard.

If you were using Blade of the Bloodchief I'd recommend Indulgent Aristocrat. Would you say Stromkirk Noble is needed in all vampire decks? My vampire deck Vampires Unleashed runs a lot differently.

Every vampire deck that's not monoblack or Golgari (those exist) needs 4 nobles. Blade of the Bloodchief is useless outside of Olivia/Kalitas EDH. Indulgent Aristocrat is too slow, Viscera Seer is better because of Nocturnus, and scry is a powerful tool for consistency.

I'm very stubborn. I play tested against your deck 3 times with no changes, you won all three. I tried a couple different minor tweaks and you still won. I couldn't win until I added the Stromkirk Nobles. Great deck! +1

So I'm thinking about siding in 1 Crumble to Dust again because it's only 1 mana to get rid of land combos, and Eldrazi and Tron are still around. Valakut is a thing I guess. Boil is also a maybe just because I'm seeing much more blue lately. What do you all think? Is siding almost nothing but artifacts/colorless cards really a good idea?

Also, Engineered Explosives vs. Ratchet Bomb sideboard. I usually use them to boardwipe 0 CMC. Discuss.

They can still make copies with Kikki. It just takes them an extra turn now.

Twin has had a handful of tops without twin itself recently. But the deck is kind of unreliable since, barring Simian Spirit Guide, they can't go off until turn 5. I'm seeing Kikki splashed into other decks though (kikki cord is a thing)

Awesome deck +1 from me.
I have all of the deck exept half of the lands.
I playtested it against 4 decks, won against, Naya burn, fish, and goryo+grislbrand. Lost agaist storm.
I want to know your thoughts on AEther Vial in this deck.

Vial is terrible. You want it in decks where most of your creatures are a uniform CMC. Something like merfolk or goblins.

And if storm is really a problem side Mindbreak Trap

I'm testing out Cavern of Souls here due to the reemergence of blue in modern. It feels kind of off to have only 3 blood crypts, but 3 swamps feels just right. Anyone else wanna playtest this and let me know about any balance issues you find? I'll be working on it myself.

How does this deck do against Jund? I have a vampire deck and it murdered mine. just curious as to how you deal with them since they run my local every modern

It's pretty even most of the time, though things can get ugly depending on how much removal/hand disruption the Jund player draws. That matchup is the reason I swapped my Ratchet Bombs for Engineered Explosives, most of Jund is 2 mana.

SOI Thoughts:
Avoiding a heavy discard theme:
Olivia's BloodswornSeems rather eh imho.
Indulgent AristocratThis seems great for pumping your army of vamps, especially if you sac a Bloodghast to him. Remember that he pumps himself for more lifelinking fun!
Stensia Masquerade Also kind of eh, but good against 8-rack and Liliana.
I really thought there was going to be more. Indulgent seems reallllly good though. Even though he is slow, Olivia is much slower and more expensive in terms of money and mana. Just my thoughts.

I feel like the best of the new vamps are Insolent Neonate, Heir of Falkenrath Flip, Asylum Visitor and Falkenrath Gorger.

Regarding my dilemma over Cavern of Souls vs. the fourth Blood Crypt, I really feel like 3 basic swamps are just right. I often fetch into basics when I don't need further red sources, as they cost less life and Blue Moon is a deck. I don't want to run basic mountains; they're almost always dead weight. But I feel the swamps are needed because Blood Moon exists. I'm concerned over consistency regarding my shock lands.

Do you think Chalice of the void could be a better replacement over dragons claw against burn? Since most of their spell's are 1 CMC it also can work against Jund and their inquisitions/Thoughtseize/lightning bolt

Chalice of the void against Jund, would stop all their 2 tap cards too lol

Burn is both 1 and 2 CMC. I know because I run it. But you have a very good point. Chalice is an excellent sideboard card, and if nothing else it would be a viable answer to decks like Jund and would slow down merfolk a bit (they still have Aether vial). The problem with chalice is it counters my own spells too. Which would put a lot more importance on Cavern.
