Hello everyone this is my take on an Abzan Company / Toolbox deck! CoCo has been replaced with Eldritch Evolution Wich leads to seeking the right card for the right moment. But i built this deck to be Aggro before anything else.
Let's jump into the deck :
it works around Eldritch Evolution, in this deck you usually sacrifice your 2CMC creatures
Strangleroot Geist - it comes back, can trigger twice your Experiment one.
Elvish Visionary - Instant value card draw.
Tidehollow Sculler - Help you control the early game and then when you need to finish you can sac him
Qasali Pridemage - control + exalted + works with Wilt-Leaf Liege
These 2CMC leads to 4CMC that help you either survive, control or finish the game.
Siege Rhino - My all time favorite Abzan Creature, instant value, trigger Exp One almost every time, has evasion, +2/+2 with Wilt-Leaf Liege.
Thought-Knot Seer - hand control + not dying to bolt, unfortunatly he will need Rancor to shine.
Wilt-Leaf Liege - Rhino's Best friend.
Other creatures :
Birds of Paradise - mana dork, can be sac in the late game.
Thalia, Heretic Cathar - Slows down your opponent. Has first strike. can be played T2. Can be found with EVO even if you sac a bird.
What about sorceries and spells ?
Eldritch Evolution - Main card.
Abrupt Decay / Path of Exile - Best removal in our colors.
Rancor - Helps you go through the defense of you opponent.
Abzan Charm - Multitask Instant, we will be using mostly the draw or the removal
Vines of Vastwood - Useful as a counter removal, because our opponent will seek to destroy either our creatures so we can't EVO or destroy Tidehollow Sculler/Thought-Knot Seer, by the way it can pump up your creatures to finish the game. HULK SMASH FOR LIFE.
Phyrexian Arena - This must be the oddest card here, but i want to try it, it helps getting card advantage to seek our EVO, maybe BoB is better because we can sac him but i can't afford him for the moment.
Lands :
Gavony Township - Mid/late booster
then it's a semi-budget manabase.
God start :
T1: Play Experiment One
T2: Play Strangleroot Geist trigger Exp One > swing for 4
T3: Play Eldritch Evolution sac Geist > trigger undying > trigger exp One > Put Rhino > trigger Exp One again swing for 7 + Siege rhino Abilty = Total damage 10 + 4 on T2.
Problems encountered
I'm having hard times to determinate how many copies of each card i should keep. For exemple, Strangleroot Geist works perfectly with Eldritch Evolution due to his undying ability, but is 4 copies a good choice ? i don't really know, if someone can help me i'll be grateful!
