With the release of Theros upon us I have decided to move away from my Gruul addiction and try something new.

I'm hoping to have all my bases covered in terms of protecting my creatures from removal, and getting my new Monstrous kitty out on the play field.

Dream ScenarioT1: Forest, MysticT2: Plains, Mystic, LionT3: Land, Monstrous Lion.

A 4/4 hexproof indestructible that early in the game makes me happy. However I don't live in a Christmas dream world where that will happen every game, so I added in a couple other cards to complement my suite.

Rootborn Defense will stop board wipes, Brave the Elements will come in against against the control decks trying to bounce/destroy other cards.

Any ideas you come up with regarding better spells, what would work in lieu of other creatures or anything of that nature will really help me out.

With all the ideas I've been given and the play testing I have done thus far, deciding on Experiment One over elvish mystic, due to a lower curve, as well as Boon Satyr over Witchstalker for a 3 drop flash or an extra damage bonus later on.
