I really would hate to see it go as well. Curse of Bloodletting was an awesome suggestion before and has actually won me some games. I still need to do some playtesting to even see if the edits would actually help the deck or not, and at worst, curse and Gisela may find their way into my SB. I will take your edit suggestions into consideration and playtest them as well. Don't worry strateupjee! It may not be the end of the multipliers yet! I just need to streamline this deck to be able to beat the tier 1's I haven't been able to beat yet. Surprisingly, I've been able to beat several of the powerful builds and te curse actually made one of my opponents curse out loud when they realized the 9 damage stake was doing was actually 18! lol

The only reason I made the comment was because I have always advocated having more than 1 of something in a deck that isnt chock full of tutors just because the chance of you getting it is 1/60 and those arent good odds xD so I know one more doesnt sound like much but 1/30 is a lot better imo xD and I loved the name of this deck, thats the reason I came here in the first place! and now its changing and im sad xD

Take out Gisela, Blade of Goldnight . By the time you're capable of casting her, you won't have your burn spells left in your hand. Unless you just try to hold onto them until you cast Gisela, which is dumb.
That, and you'll probably never cast her before winning or dying.

Gisela, Blade of Goldnight is very close to getting the axe. Out of all the playtesting I've done, I've only successfully played her a few times and everytime it was either a desperation play that lost me the game, or it was an over killing win-more card. Although I love the multiplying effect, I'm starting to feel like this is just not the deck for her. Any suggestions on what I could replace her with?

Another O-Ring and something else.
You do know that Sacred Foundry isn't Standard, right? So all of your playtesting is for naught?

Yeah, I'm aware. I'm really getting ready for Gatecrash. I'm trying to put together the best mix of red and white cards for this deck idea until such time as the set releases so I have a general idea of how I want the deck to run. Once Gatecrash releases there is a possibility that the list will change dramatically, and all the playtesting I have done so far has been done without Sacred Foundry . Thanks for the suggestions.

I am currently running this decklist on cockatrice: deck:this-angel-will-burn-you-at-the-stake-ideal. This may end up being the new face of the deck. Please check it out and tell me what you think.

Coolest late game combo: Gather the Townsfolk in fateful hour, Battle Hymn for 6 red mana, and then Burn at the Stake for 18 damage.

Instead of Healer of the Pride go with Goldnight Redeemer . Considering how many tokens you should have out, that's a bunch of life gain!

Good suggestion king. I didn't look at healer's CMC very closely during considerations, and for some reason, I thought she was a 3 drop. I saw the 4 and said ew. In short, I will be testing Goldnight Redeemer . Thanks!

Wow man, pretty much Goldnight Redeemer was the best suggestion ever lol

Yea I changed my deck up after I went to a local private tournament, its now a Boros Humans deck. Im still running 2 Burn at the Stake though. I have only done bad at one tournament with a W/L of 2-2. Every other tourney I went 4-0, 3-1, 4-1.

I have also been experimenting with card draw in a similar design, I have two suggestions, Wild Guess is something I am experimenting with. I didn't like faithless looting, and obviously Mentor is the only logical white card draw.
I also am using Reverberate it copies and defends against counterspells, copies card draw and life gain like card:Sphinx's Revelation or really cool miracle cards like Entreat the Angels that is very, very effective with the deck design. It is probably the biggest underrated card and would be very useful, try play testing it? :)
I run a more human based deck design the strategy a lot.

Thanks for the comments guys! I will definetely try out Reverberate and Wild Guess and get back with some results.

How fast is the deck? Have you thought about champion of the parish or intangible virtue?

It has the potential to win turn 6, but not all the time. I have considered Champion of the Parish as well as Doomed Traveler and playtested them both, but with little results. Generally Champion of the Parish is a removal magnet and rarely stays on the field for very long, and I did prefer Doomed Traveler for awhile, but generally he would get Pillar of Flame d and thus not earning me the extra flying body he produces. I am considering Guttersnipe right now, considering my 27 instants and sorceries. I'm still tweaking the design, little by little, but I think I am getting closer and closer to the "ideal" list for this deck, excepting, Gatecrash's release.

a good replacement for goldnight redeemer might be Baneslayer Angel baneslayer cost 1 less mana has more power and toughess, first strike, and u still get that life gain ur looking for in the redeemer
November 6, 2012 5:58 p.m.
except of course baneslayer isnt standard so maybe just baneslayer for casual games

You could get a bit more aggressive with your tokens and add Hellrider as a 4 drop.
T1 whatever, (Landfix probably)
T2 Gather the Townsfolk /card:Krenko's Command
T3 Gather the Townsfolk /card:Krenko's Command
T4 Hellrider and tokens swing for 5 direct damage and 7 normal damage.
It's for cards like Hellrider that I'll probably build Naya humans when gatecrash hits.

That's a good suggestion. I'll do some playtesting, and I will probably SB the Mentor of the Meek for use in long matches, removing Malignus altogether, and MBing at least 3 Hellrider s. Thanks!

@evil_monkey I made a deck 100% inspired by this, let me know whatcha think W/R Multiplier

What do you guys think about Sublime Archangel at the 4? I think that could help me be pretty aggressive with large attacks. It wouldn't really let me Alpha strike effectively like Hellrider would, but having an early flier with that ability I think would be insane.

How's Goldnight Redeemer treating you? Seems like you loved that idea lol.
strateupjee says... #1
Honestly I would say with the amount of token production, you could feasibly -1 Gather the Townsfolk and -1 Lingering Souls to +1 Gisela and +1 Curse, now maybe that is just me getting stuck on the awesome multiplier idea, but I really loved it and I think 6 less tokens with the amount of tokens you put in would balance and give you a lot more damage
