Thanks! Burn at the Stake is potentially one of my favorite cards right now. I've got probably 3 or 4 different deck configurations I'm working with to make it work well.

No blue sources for the Electromancer, but I supposed I could splash. I like Reforge the Soul I just don't know what I would replace. Same with Past in Flames and and Faithless Looting . I see where it could go though. I used to run Battle Hymn but other cards ended up taking priority. I will test a few configurations with these cards and get back to you guys with updates.

I think the deck looks good, and when Sacred Foundry drops it will be very much worth it to swap out the Blood Crypt lands for Dragonskull Summit . I think you'll put Sacred Foundry to much more use, especially with Boros dropping.

Your playtest went well!

Just an idea, if you're looking to pump your tokens even more, I'd suggest Phantom General . He's a little costly, but it will also help your creature base if you end up needing to run aggro.

Otherwise the deck looks great!

Thanks BringTheRaine! I've considered using Phantom General but I'm not sure I have room in the SB for it and my 4's in the MB are pretty much full up. Sorin and Intangibe Virtue seem to be doing for the trick so far and pumping my tokens tends to be a secondary objective for now in case the game runs long or I plan to finish with a Hellrider alpha strike. Thanks for the suggestion though! I will be playtesting more and I will see if I can work him in somewhere to see how he effects the way the deck plays.

No problem! That's what suggestions are for. I just see him played a lot in token, and usually works well.

Honestly, I don't have the sorin's yet. So I will probably run Phantom General in his place until I get some. Thanks!

id change the Rootborn Defenses for Boros Charm because even without the populate its gonna b easier to save for at 2 mana, and u can send 4 to the face if they arent playing control.

Thank you! I definetely agree with you on Boros Charm . Not only is it cheaper, it is more versatile than Rootborn Defenses . I will definetely be editing them in soon. Thank you again!

Thank you very much! I'm glad so many people are enjoying the idea of this deck. I've tested this deck pretty extensively and I have to say, myfvorite thing about it is it's flexibility. I can be the aggressor and push the fast attack, or I can play defensively and produce chumpers all day and push surprise attacks with Hellrider or outright kill them with Burn at the Stake . Thanks again for the kind words!

It's probably not a great idea but what if you were to think about Frontline Medic ? With keeping them indestructible when going for the assault it saves you the use of a Boros Charm . I'm just throwing ideas out there.

I would suggest maybe Vexing Devil instead of the Sundering Growth

January 31, 2013 1:14 p.m.

evil_monkey says... #25

@drjackyle I definetely considered him. As it stands, if I do decide to use him, it will be over Guttersnipe . I think he would work to optimize my curve and has a hell of a time attacking with Hellrider . Some testing will tell us if he gets the spot. Thanks!

@DarthVincentius Sundering Growth is my only artifact or enchantment removal and has the added bonus of populating my tokens, which diectly correlates with the amount of damage that Burn at the Stake can do, so I probably won't be taking it out. As for Vexing Devil his utility or me is greatly undermined without Brimstone Volley . He is an okay creature, but Boros Charm can do the same amount of damage without giving my opponent the choice in the matter. Thanks anyway!
