Major Themes:

Fill the graveyard. Either with masses or targeted cards that fit the situation. This serves a dual purpose of enabling both main strategies and often the cards that do this can be pretty powerful in their own right. For example, Fauna Shaman pitching a great reanimaton target and fetching another is crazy advantage.

Keywords matter. Most of these have the benefit of just being good solid creatures with a variety of keywords which makes them useful proactive plays. This list is also trying to hit everything on Kathril's list a couple times.

Reanimation. After dumping stuff in the graveyard, it becomes a powerful resource and a bit of a toolbox.

Bonus Points - Sac Outlets. As a reanimator deck, getting stuff exiled is bad.
