This list is interesting. My concern is that it feels REALLY soft to sweepers, namely Drown in Sorrow and Anger of the Gods . I don't know how common control will be in the coming format (though I think Sultai Control is very well positioned, personally), but it seems like there will be a decent number of decks at least sideboarding Drown in Sorrow .

If you can find a couple spots in the board for Stain the Mind it might not actually be a bad idea. It strikes me that you will have either a) a ton of mana from dorks, or b) a ton of token guys from Hornet Nest or Empty the Pits (though the latter should be killing people, but anyway), and that will take out some of these cards that make it really hard for you to go off. I'm uncertain what other cards will be problematic, but there might be others I'm not thinking of that make things difficult to work.

I feel like 21 lands is way too few. I know your curve is relatively low, but if you get an opening hand without a mana accelerator or it gets killed then you have a small amount of turns before your opponent just starts to overwhelm you. I'd want like 23 lands so you have a relatively good chance of playing Magic if your Elvish Mystic bites a Lightning Strike .

I just like saying the word Jund over and over again. Jund. It just sounds so awesome.

I've never had a problem with the mana base Zurnic. You have to consider I have 14 permanents helping me with mana, not just Elvish Mystic .

The wrath occurrence does seem really prevalent against this deck Nigeltastic. Definitely taken into account and will make changes accordingly.

21 lands is still too few. Mana acceleration is much less stable than lands, and you are trying to cast X spells and Sarkhan. It's certainly safer to play more, and being this risky is shooting yourself in the foot.

I also forgot to mention that Stain the Mind is a more sideboard card for sideboard cards, as there never really is ONE card that is severely overpowered and must be dealt with right away that nothing else I have can deal with. Wraths are sideboard cards, so I may potentially put it in the side.

Deck has been changed drastically, critics and perhaps even ... upvotes anyone?

Hey! Just checked back on your deck and it looks amazing. I am super confident in your build. Gave it a big +1. Cheers (hope to see you on those top 8's)!

Oh! I almost forgot! Since you are only running Courser in the Enchantment Creature battlefield, Back to Nature might be a great addition for your sideboard against G/b Devotion/ (with Eidolon of Blossoms and Doomwake Giant ) and G/R monsters with the same Eidolon engine. Woot!

I'll consider Back to Nature as my sideboard fleshes out ArcherAlex. Thanks for the +1, though I won't be going anywhere with this deck. I don't actually have it. I have ordered most of my other standard brew though, Edge and Scale, Bring Forth the Victory.

No Chandra because she's ineffective, I'm assuming?

Femme_Fatale says... #12

Yep. Exiling a planeswalker when you already have one on the field. Exiling a removal spell when they have nothing on the field. Exiling Crater's Claws when I don't have enough mana to make it effective. I prefer Read the Bones over all of these situations.

By the way, you should consider putting in a couple Darksteel Citadel for your Nissa, Worldwaker to make into a 4/4 indestructible creature!

90% of the reason I am +1'ing is the video. Oh and the other 10% is because THIS. LOOKS. AWESOME. I would be truly terrified facing this down right now. My only wonder is about the sideboard, but that is really hard to judge at all right now because there is no set metagame yet. Looks awesome, keep it up.

Thanks for the +1 evncrbch, and the video was a golden find~

As for the deck itself, it is very deadly. Currently the only things I haven't tested it against are orzhov control, RDW and jeskai tempo. It utterly demolishes Mardu aggro/midrange, and has even matches against sultai delve and temur control. Arbor Colossus is there because flying threats are very relevant, but I will probably replace that with Hornet Queen because it is harder to kill all of the tokens.

Looks pretty solid, a shame you dont think Chandra, Pyromaster would fit in here; I loved the abuse when i played her in rtr-ths between her and Courser of Kruphix for absurd deck thinning and digging for answers but with so many hit and miss cards it is understandable; looks like a pretty standard mean jund, but in regards to the Thoughtseize description it looks like Jeskai Ascendancy is that card you will need to hit or lose to since there is no mainboard answer for it. Game two will likely be in their favor as well since they have access to cantrips letting them go over the top to start the drawing process in response and dig for a Swan Song or the like in response to your Unravel the Aether or Back to Nature . Maybe if r/g artifacts/monsters has stayed popularish try mainboarding an unravel or seize? Those are really the only decks that have that high win 1 percentage against anything but mono black i believe but not sure. In any case looks fun to play, jund always seems to be lol

remove the second urborg for a swamp or a scry land. a seocnd one in your open hand or any draw after one is play is a free lily plus to your self.

just so you know ... Crater's Claws can't target planeswalkers

October 6, 2014 8:44 p.m.

@Xavier4238 Any noncombat damage that would be dealt to a player can be redirected to a planeswalker that player controls.

Ah, right. Sorry then, I wasn't aware of that. Sorry for saying that, I just thought that Femme_Fatale may have overlooked that.

Great deck though +1

If you are right on the Jeskai Ascendancy thing Bsaf, then that is just one deck, why mainboard against just one deck? Sure if the meta develops and it becomes THE deck to play/beat, then I can definitely justify putting it in, just not now. And yeah, I don't like Chandra, Pyromaster because consistency is my main criteria when deckbuilding. She isn't very consistent, and instead relies more on hope than anything else. I may choose to use her in the future, but I don't really like the experiences I've had in testing her so far.

Thanks for the +1 msanchez13 and Xavier4238~

I really don't want to be removing an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth gwowns. It is the center piece for my black mana, and my sideboard is pretty black heavy. It also means that I no longer have to crack my fetches all the time and saves me a lot of life from Mana Confluence . Finally, there is that pretty powerful Read the Bones into Hero's Downfall that has saved me on quite a few occasions, and it wouldn't have been possible as many times as it was without Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth at 2.

I would just like to suggest maybe the use of a few scrylands such as Temple of Malady or Temple of Malice in place of some of the basic lands or Mana Confluence .

Have you considered also testing with a Bow of Nylea ? It's quite useful against early pesky fliers and I've found it relevant 90% of the time. Sure there's not always a creature that +1/+1 helps, however that +3 life can be a major help in the long game when you have no choice but to repeatedly use the Mana Confluence .
