This deck came from a collaborative effort between myself and my friend Tim T. He saw my version of Nekusar running a bit slower than it could, made some suggestions, and here we are.

Strategies

Play wheels. Fork wheels. Counter counterspells with their own counterspell! You win by hitting them with the card draw or “accidentally” dropping Infect on Nekusar and killing them that way.

INFECT WAYS TO WIN

Corrupted Conscience, Phyresis, Glistening Oil, Tainted Strike. Enchant or equip these cards to Kederekt Parasite/Nekusar himself and then wheel away to your heart’s content. Saving Tainted Strike for when you know you can chain wheels is optimal for instant death.

ALTERNATE WAY TO WIN

Should you get Hive Mind to field and want to have fun, play either your Slaughter Pact or Pact of Negation afterwards. Folks who cannot make Black or Blue Mana lose on their upkeep. Dirty, but you’re already playing Nekusar so you’ve accepted that you’re a bad person already, right?

OTHER FUN TRICKS

Using Pimmin’s Aura on your commander is a cheap way to shroud him, BUT if you use it on Jace’s Archivist and he is active then you’ve got a LIVING Wheel right there!
