Journey into Nyx? More like Journey into NOPE.
With all of Journey to Nyx revealed, Battle Thaumaturge has appeared to be one of the more crazy, even broken, cards in the set. Of course, he is one of the main centerpieces for this deck. It can be combo'd off with Gridlock, Glimpse the Sun God, Launch the Fleet, Curse of the Swine, and other cards that many have pointed out. As for the other creatues:
Favored Hoplite- A favorite of heroic one-drops.
Imposing Sovereign- Good for slowing agro decks.
Akroan Skyguard- On of the better white heroic two-drops, in my opinion. Who doesn't love flying?
Spirit of the Labyrinth- Helps limit with the card draw with a few decks, and if possible, can swing in for a slightly healthy chunk.
Archetype of Courage- Seriously, who doesn't like first strike? It can make a difference, for sure.
Fabled Hero- Can beef itself up, AND double strike is always fun.
Artisan of Forms- Need another copy of a creature? This is why she's here.
As for the sideboard, felt it would be nice to have some certain "control" cards. Deicide is going to be big, if anything, and Polymorphous Rush can end up being a big hit, if played correctly.
As would be preferred, suggestions are always nice. Sometimes, I have to go the budget route, and I fell in those terms, this would play decently.
