I'm running Taigam's Scheming over Commune with the Gods because a) I needed more blue and b) when you scheme, you don't have to lose your good draws like Murderous Cut if you don't want.
I actually almost ran Necropolis Fiend , but both its delve and its removal ability don't play synergistically with the key cards in the deck, Nighthowler and Nemesis of Mortals , both who want your graveyard to be full of creatures (and yes, if you exile enough, you will have to start hitting creatures with delve). That's why my only delve card is Murderous Cut : it can take anything you don't need out of your graveyard, and results in (B): Destroy target creature at instant speed.

I really like a lot of the card interactions in this deck. I'm not much of a sultai player myself, but I can definitely see what you are trying to do here.

Hmm...I really like Sultai Ascendancy here...I would drop two Wayfinders and one Nemesis for three of them. It helps set your deck, and fill your graveyard.

@Scytec I was actually running Sultai Ascendancy at one point, but I ended up removing it because it wasn't as helpful as I thought it would be. I also want the deck to be semi-competitive, and the ascendancy doesn't do much for the deck.

Huh...thats odd. Haha. For my deck, I love ascendancy...and it has saved me countless time. Different playstyles I guess. :) Best of luck to you!

Perhaps look into Monastery Siege and Tasigur, the Golden Fang. I could see both of those adding to your gameplay quite effectively.

@rooroothepirate: I totally missed Monastery Siege... guess I got it into my head that you can only play it in a jeskai deck; thanks for that! I really dislike Tasigur because there isn't enough delve to make him not be "mill two, then take the worst nonland from your graveyard." Thanks for the comment though, I've been having trouble getting input on my deck.

Good card selection but what are you dredging for? No grave strength/nighthowler/tasigur?
My dredge runs a little different JUNGLE DEATH

I used to dredge for Nighthowler and Nemesis of Mortals, but it ended up fueling delve (I run 9 delve cards now), so I took them out so I could effectively delve creatures.

Um, where's the turn one win...? Also, why is Izzet in the title?

ABadMagicPlayer100 says... #13
Warden of the First Tree turn one cannot be stopped. Izzet is in the title because Izzet is the BUG guild from Shards of Alara.

T1 Warden of the First Tree can definitely be stopped, it's called removal or blocker. Izzet is the R/U guild from Ravnica, has nothing to do with Shards of Alara or BUG.
I would take those out of the title because it's misleading and very confusing to someone actually trying to find an Izzet deck or a T1 win.
Or am I missing some huge inside joke here?

Rakshasa Deathdealer is a pretty sweet threat that scales well into the late-game. I'd also recommend Hornet Queen, because some decks just can't beat it. It is also a great Whip of Erebos target. It might be beneficial to add some number of Llanowar Wastes, Yavimaya Coast, and maybe and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to help with the mana.

Why the actual hell is this not running Grave Strength? It's a stellar card for this strategy, provided you have the right circumstances. Other than that, looks solid.

you should remake it because theros is getting rotated out of standard

@caouetteeman - Sadly, I think this deck is going away after Theros rotates. Nemesis of Mortals and Herald of Torment are irreplaceable.

Is there any specific reason you're running Taigam's Scheming over Commune with the Gods ? Commune seems strictly better in all but very fringe cases.
I also think Necropolis Fiend can be a decent replacement for Nemesis of Mortals . The nemesis is bigger, but fiend has evasion and comes with built in removal.
