Night's Whisper is a better choice instead of Sign in Blood.

Hey soullessredafro! Ive tried Runechanter's Pike before and I didnt like it. It can be strong, it can be weak, and as Im running the swords and Lashwrithe, it seems like a weaker option.

It is a monoblack, so only swamps. Sign in Blood is BB, but it can, for any weird reason, make an opponent to draw 2 cards and loose 2 life. Night's Whisper is better in a Bx mix, where it is 1B.

I see. Once you get 4 Inkmoth Nexus, you will want Night's Whisper. You'll never want to target your opponent with Sign in Blood because you can't kill them with the loss of life. Another reason why Whisper is better. Have you ever thought of Devour Flesh? Since the opponents life total doesn't matter and all.

I would also suggest getting the cards you keep out because you want to "keep it budget". At $400, it's far from budget.

Here is my MBC Infect deck list. Phyrexia's Infectious Control (MBC)

soullessredafro a few time I got a win by hitting with the Lashwrithe token, so life sometimes matter! And with the current meta, I prefer more mass removal than spot removal. With the raise of the Eldrazi cards, some black cards have got really expensive. The only expensive cards on this deck are the swords, Spellskite and Chalice of the Void, that I run on my other decks. Despise that, only cheap cards :)

So, does Leyline of Sanctity slow you down in this deck? How do you answer that card?

Hey shoes2980. Well, it does. But only the discard cards (9 cards), what does not stop the main objetive of the deck. If it were 8rack, it would shut down completly. Nowadays I dont a see a lot of this card on the SB, only bogles and death and taxes.

Nice deck, but this is definitively not budget. Even less considering that most infect decks can run from $50 to $100

Hey Chino90. Inquisition of Kozilek 22$, Chalice of the Void 52$, Spellskite 38$ and the swords. If u take it out (or at least consider a reasonible price) it is budget!

I believe you have Lashwrithe in your description twice. Also, a reset on the comments would be nice, as it's very tedious for those on mobile to have to scroll so far down to comment/subscribe.

Hey amazingdan, u re right! I already deleted the description of Lashwrithe and I will delete the comments (I will wait some time for u to read this reply haha)

DH_Cell Thanks, got it! In regards to the actual deck, I think running Sword of Body and Mind and/or Sword of Feast and Famine mainboard would be strictly better, as Phyrexian Crusader already has protection from .

Theoretically iy is right, but the effect of the other swords are way better than these ones. After all, there are some other dudes (likte Plague Stinger) that can use the pro B/W for example.

Hey KaiserChronic! Yes, it can help, but can help all B decks, such as Abzans too :\

u run a Raven's Crime so you could always toss it in a situation like that! Just a thought

Yeah, it makes sense. It would worth the spot if I were running Inkmoth Nexus :p

This is the type of infect deck I'd run if I could, did some playtesting and the deck is sweet!

what about Hand of the Praetors?

March 21, 2016 10:20 p.m.

DH_Cell says... #23

Hey VaporDruid! Well, some time ago (I think 1-2 years ago) I was playing with Hand of the Praetors, and the deck was completly differnet. I had to run lots of dudes to try to use better the abillity of Praetors, and he is expensive and dies to almost everything. The deck was slowers, with a lot of weak dudes unable to finish the game, and if Praetors was dead, I couldnt win :(

I would suggest maybe 2-4 Ichorclaw Myr and 2 Spellskite maindeck. Really like the deck though. +1

im gonna try to test the deck out with Hand of the Praetors instead of Phyrexian Vatmother and ill see how it turns out, im missing a couple of pieces though so maybe you could do your own testing as well and we could see how it goes? i really feel like the hand is a very good card, and running 4x hands instead of 4x vatmoms would work
