Hey 8bit9mm! Spellskite is absurd in some matches, he can end if pretty much alone, but in others he is nothing, only a 0/4. I run the discard spells to take out the removals that can somehow kill my creatures, and Crusader already has protections, as the swords provive. Maybe 2 Spellskite SB is not a bad idea, depending of the meta, but MB I dont think is necessary. As I always say, combo decks (infect somehow is classified as a combo) need to be All In in the first round :)

VaporDruid I strongly recommend to run a few more dudes (like Ichorclaw Myr and Flensermite) so the abillity of Hands worth a little more :)

I already sold my set of Hand of the Praetors when I realised I wouldnt run them anymore haha :(

I run a similar, but more controlling deck. Ive found that most games my equipment is way too slow especially against u/g infect. Runechanter's Pike can be cast and equipped a turn earlier than the swords. And i ran into the problem of never having enough swamps out for mutilate to be an effective enough sweeper (i also run 4 ink moths and a Ghost Quarter though).

Dismember, Disfigure and Languish are my goto removal as they work well with infect counters.

Ive been messing around with Corpse Churn to buff up my Runechanter's Pike and help out with recursion.

Also Night's Whisper will end up being a better draw engine later on if you decide to get more inkmoths as the double black if sign in blood has potential of being a problem.

How is plague stinger+mutagenic working out for you? I opted for more draw/discard in those slots.

Hey skmbc, thx for the comment!

I have already tried Runechanter's Pike, but it is too slow and depedent of something else. I run only 2 inkmoth because I dont have that much instant pump, so 2 is enought.

I still prefer more discard and less removal, because the plan is to disrupt them. If needed, there is more removal SB. Corpse Churn is kind of weak, I still prefer Undying Evil. For the recursions, Sword of Light and Shadow can help too.

Night's Whisper is almost the same as Sign in Blood, but as I run 20 swamps, it is ok.

Mutagenic Growth is a really nice tech, because they dont expect that much instant pump. And if they side in Spellskite, I still have great equips to use :)

Hey doozy! Ive tried it before, but it didnt work that weell. It depends to have the instant on the grave and it is slow to cast and equipe, I need consistency for the deck!

I'd most definitely run 4 Inkmoth and 2-3 Urborg. Sure, Urborg occasionally fixes Grixis/Abzan/Jund mana, but those decks can easily fetch what they need as well through their ridiculously expensive manabases. Inkmoth is just the most broken manland in the format and swampwalk from Funeral Charm is huge. The upsides you get from those lands is too massive to worry about fixing your opponents mana. I'd also play Collective Brutality over Duress because of the flexibility it offers. Pretty cool deck!

Hey casmiel! Thx for the nice feedback man. Eevrybody is talking about Collective Brutality now, at first look it doesnt seem impressive, but I think Im gonna give it a try :)

About Inkmoth... I still dunno the right number. I agree that it is broken, but because I dont have exalted and usual pumps they are much worse here than in tradition infect. But it worth a try too, I just have to put my hands on more of them :)

Hey bah-bammmm, for sure it is not Tier 1, but it can beat tons of decks and is super fun :)

Hey Wonky.wombat.!

Yes, I have already looked at it, it is very good when it is good, but not consistent enough for using it :(

One card that I would seriously recommend running is Dark Ritual because since you are playing mono black it is free mana which can do a lot for you since most of your spells have a low cmc. Also it allows you to T1 a Phyrexian Crusader which is some scary shit.

Hey X_Animis_X, for sure! And Deputy_Cofax Dark Ritual is not modern legal :/

DH_Cell I know, I realized that like 5 minutes after I made the comment XP. I really wish it was modern legal tho :).

just wondering, but why isn't Surgical Extraction in?

DH_Cell says... #21

Hey bricek10. I personally prefer Extirpate because it cannot be countered. But most people prefer Surgical :)
