What's your theme? People will be more likely to help when you put in a description.

Here's what I would cut from the list:
Distress
- It's a one shot effect which is not very powerful in a multiplayer format.
Divination
/Read the Bones
- Your commander is a living draw engine, why bother with small draw spells like these? If you need to keep one, keep Read the Bones
because of scry
Drown in Sorrow
- Most creatures played in EDH are big scary creatures, 4/4 or bigger. This will probably not kill anything so it is essentially scry 1 for 3 mana
Time Reversal
- Your list has lots of graveyard shenanigans so you don't want to be everyone's yards back into their libraries.
Vampire Nighthawk
- This card is amazing in constructed 60 card formats, but in EDH it is subpar. In a format where decks can pretty reliably drop a Griselbrand
or Iona, Shield of Emeria
on T3 or T4 and other decks can reliably kill the table by T6 or T7, a 2/3 flyer with deathtouch and lifelink is pretty irrelevant.
Glaring Spotlight
- This might be something to consider cutting, but this one is a choice you should make based on your meta. I personally play it in my mono black control deck, but that is because I play against Sigarda, Host of Herons
occasionally and usually I win by general damage so unblockable is useful.
Venser's Journal
- I don't see the relevance of this card with Damia, Sage of Stone
because her ability ensures that you will always have 7 cards in your hand, no more and no less. The unlimited hand size doesn't do much for you, and even though gaining 7 life every turn is nice, it isn't worth 5 mana.
I'll look and see what else you could consider cutting, these are just a few that jumped out at me.
Feel free to take a look at the control deck I mentioned for some ideas as it is also very graveyard based.

yeah, thanks a lot.. the deck isn't necessarily based around anything specific, it runs many different combos. Mostly it's just a deck that is supposed to be more fun than anything else that runs cards that I like. I didn't want to have a singular theme because i don't want it to play the same every single time I play it. Thanks PlattBonnay ill probably drop glaring spotlight, but Venser's Journal would be insane with any of the mass card drawing cards.. idk ill think about it. the idea behind distress was to pick out a massive creature and reanimate it, again to make the deck play a little differently. You're definitely right about Drown in Sorrow , i never planned to run it in this deck.. it was just a card that i wanted to own. Time Reversal is irrelevant, but fun nonetheless.. Vampire Nighthawk was just going to act as a lifelinker which could be Bioshift ed or something for huge lifegain.. That's just what I see.. Everything you said makes sense and i will consider your suggestions, thanks a lot

So from what I've seen of the deck list/your comment, it sounds like you like counters and card draw and graveyard shenanigans. Why not switch the general to The Mimeoplasm ? The whole point of that deck is card draw and graveyard stuff and its in the perfect colours for adding counters to stuff.

Doesn't really seem like he would help, he's just a powerhouse which is a bit irrelevant in a deck that plays with hydras.. Also he exiles cards which works against this deck.. I considered him as a general, but it seems that damia is the best with her ability, having a full hand late game is really a big deal
