Whispering Dead

 

Anathema to White and Green mages alike, you are a necromancer, and now your spark has awoken. Black magic is mastery of death, and even your insufferable detractors must inevitably face the limits of their own mortality.

 

     The focus of this deck is to achieve an overwhelming board position extremely early on, perhaps even by turn two or three. Place Sheoldred, Whispering One into your graveyard as soon as possible by using spells like Buried Alive or Entomb, so that you may pull her directly onto the battlefield with spells like Reanimate or Exhume. After doing so, you may freely pull any other creature into play from your graveyard to counter your opponent's tactics. Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Archetype of Endurance keep your creatures alive and on the battlefield where they want to be. Iona, Shield of Emeria and Ashen Rider allow you to thwart your opponent's threats and/or resources, on or off the battlefield. Blazing Archon and Platinum Angel will help keep you alive if you're in a tight spot. Lastly, Griselbrand serves to provide immense card advantage and put pressure on your opponent.

 

This deck does not utilize a sideboard and is built to reach 2 mana sources by turn 2 approximately 85% of the time (w/ card draw on turn 1). Please leave your thoughts and suggestions! Thank you!
