Optimized 8-Rack for running Whispers of Emrakul instead of Wrench Mind At their best, Whispers is infinitely better than Wrench; at their worse, Whispers is still way better than Wrench. Having Delirium is something hard to build, but many Modern decks run any type of artifacts so Wrench won't be a sure thing either. And even if Wrench Mind would be discarding 2 cards on turn 2, Whispers of Emrakul could do more damage disrupting at least one of their best cards in hand.

It's not a lot, but Mishra's Bauble and Nether Spirit can help building Delirium. Smallpox and Collective Brutality allow us to pick whatever we need and ditch it into our graveyard. A turn one instant like Fatal Push into a turn two sorcery like Smallpox that will make us sacrifice a land and discard a card (maybe an early unwanted Rack, a sparing Lily or a Nether Spirit if we're lucky), and that's Delirium right there ready to destroy on turn 3.
