I have been wanting to build a black white control deck for a while. Now I can finally do it! Now I am sticking to the Theros block alone and will probably update it with the release of M15. I want this deck to not lose any main components in October. Any help or suggestions would be great and welcomed!
CREATURES
Athreos, God of Passage - This guy is amazing for this deck. Specially with Dictate of Erebos Even if they kill my creature they have to sacrifice one of theirs then choose whether I get mine back or to take 3 damage.
Aegis of the Gods - This guy just makes it a little harder for your opponents to cast any direct damage spells on you.
Doomwake Giant - I like him because of the amount of small creatures played now days he is a great board clearer. Plus he is just plain big and your opponent is going to have to deal with him.
Master of Feasts - This guy is a big issue for your opponent. When paired with Fate Unraveler and you have a 5/5 flyer that is a pain to deal with.
Fate Unraveler - This guy pairs really well with Master of Feasts. Giving you opponent double damage for card draws.
Underworld Coinsmith
- Fun little card that hits your opponent for a point of damage anytime an enchantment hits the field. So basically everything in this deck will be triggering this effect. Plus a little life gain could never hurt.
ENCHANTMENTS/INSTANTS
Whip of Erebos - Add lifelink to all my creatures. Need I say more.
Dictate of Erebos- An amazing card. Even if your creatures die you opponent has to choose one of his to sacrifice. Works amazingly with Athreos, God of Passage.
Ethereal Armor - My deck is basically all enchantments. This will make any of my creatures huge and very hard to deal with.
Hero's Downfall - Still to this day one of the best removals if not the best removals in standard.
Silence the Believers - An awesome card that could easily end the games if played right.
Gods Willing - This is one of the best cards for some protection. Its cheap and will save your creature in a tough spot.
