Just a fun deck tech for tribal mono white knights. This deck is supposed to be more of a budget deck so I replaced some expensive cards with cheaper ones. The Knight Exemplar,
Student of Warfare
, and Hero of Bladehold might be pricey but they're necessary for this deck, but don't worry, excluding Cavern of Souls and Aether Vial lowers the price significantly. Also,
Gorgon's Head
is the cheaper alternative for Basilisk Collar and Oblivion Ring replaces Path to Exile.
I like
Valorous Stance
because its a cheap instant that is very versatile, save your creature from dying or take out your opponent's big blocker. Unfortunately, this deck is not a Tier 1 deck and although it's a weenie deck, it is not very fast. However, it is absolutely possible to dish out 40+ damage in one turn because of the boosting effects from Knight Exemplar Honor of the Pure etc. also
Kinsbaile Cavalier
is great especially but his 4cmc does slow the deck down.
The deck is very reliant on its creatures so losing one can be very detrimental but if you can get two Knight Exemplars on the battlefield, then victory isn't too far ahead. Just be careful though because she is a major target for removal. That is why it is nice to have Brave the Elements to protect your knights and it can even be used as an offensive tool to make your creatures unblock-able and get the OTK (one-turn-kill).
The only real danger in this deck is getting mana flooded. That is why I have
Armored Ascension
in the sideboard because it can turn mana flooding into an advantage but I am still not sure if I should put it into the main board, suggestions would be helpful.
Other than that,
Gorgon's Head
should be self-explanatory, first strike plus deathtouch makes a creature EXTREMELY scary and hard to deal with. This artifact is cheap and a good turn one play and I generally like to equip this to a Fiendslayer Paladin or a Mirran Crusader since they have more protection from removal. Speaking of those creatures, Fiendslayer Paladin is in because he's got the specs and stats that fit this deck, the lifelink he has is just icing on top. Plus, his artwork is epic :). Mirran Crusader is without a doubt a beast with his double strike and wouldn't it be fun to go up against mono-green or mono-black with him haha.
Student of Warfare
is the best one drop knight to have and the level up is wonderful. Play her on turn one then by turn two level her up and now you have a 3/3 first striker.
Knight of Meadowgrain
definitely another four of because a lifelink, first strike, 2/2 knight for only two is a dream come true. Laslty, Hero of Bladehold may not have first strike but she gives us board presence and pumps up our other first and/or double strikers. Also, she herself gets pumped up by our other cards which makes for some good synergy. In sum, although the deck may not win a championship or even an FNM Modern tournament, the idea behind it is fun and it is still a inexorable deck to play with. Also, what can I say, Knights are bae.
