White Orchid Ramp 'em

Casual Mono-White

ClockworkSwordfish

Maybeboard

Who says white can't ramp? The new White Orchid Phantom is a cheap way to pick off problem lands in a 'fair' manner - that is, by giving the recipient a basic land as a consolation prize. However, who says you have to point him at your opponent's stuff? Instead, wipe out your own Flagstones of Trokair and whoops, you just turned one land into two. Having four mana on turn three is nice, but it's especially good when you didn't have to waste a card on some 1/1 mana dork.

Okay, so having a little combo to ramp a bit is nice, but are we just piloting a white weenie deck otherwise? Far from it. Four mana scores you a Serra Paragon, the new and cheaper Sun Titan, who can then bring back that spent Flagstones of Trokair or a fetch land. Whoops! We ramped again - and this time your fetch land actually gained you life! She can also give the Phantom another pass, not to mention doubling the removal from a Cathar Commando.

It can be easy to be scared off by the Paragon's "when it dies, it's exiled" clause on anything that's reanimated, but it's important to note that it's a trigger and not a replacement effect (like with Unearth.) Translation? You can bring back Kitchen Finks and when it dies, choose to bring it back with Persist rather than let it get exiled. Hey, you even end up getting that 2 life from the Finks instead! And when it dies a second time, the Paragon is free to bring it back again, and again, and again...

With all these lands and sac abilities hitting your graveyard, Ruin-Lurker Bat should be able to scry most turns, earning you a little more reliability in a mono-white build. When all else fails, Stoneforge Mystic can come to the rescue with a game-changing equipment. You have plenty of little flyers who can connect with a sword (even a lowly spirit token from Tithe Taker will do) or, if you need the whole package, Kaldra Compleat can throw his weight around.
