I think u should add Guardian of the Gateless, Seraph of the Sword, and/or Angelic Accord

if you're having trouble with U/W/B and field wipe, why not drop a few Boros Elite and a Fencing Ace to the sideboard, an main board the Rootborn Defenses ?at very least you can use it to get a token too block with, or save some creature in combat, and then you'll have it for when you're having you're board wipe issues?

Well you see the problem with that is if I mainboard it and it turns out they aren't running board wipe it will become nigh useless. Then I will lose the game with two Rootborn Defenses in my hand and have to sideboard my deck back to the way it is now. So I'm damned if I do and if I don't. I'll just have to be conservative with creatures against UWB and be ready to sideboard for the next game regardless of the outcome.

What you are doing though is looking at the card for a single use, Rootborn Defenses can make another soldier token from Precinct Captain (cause of populate) and it can save some of your guys in combat, meaning you can get more damage through.It doesn't just have to mean that you must use it to save from field wipe

Think about everything a card can do, it may seem like getting an extra token, won't matter but it can make the difference sometimes. Hell you can use it to multiblock huge creatures, and keep all of your guys! or kill off death-touch creatures, without a tradeoff!
