Hello!

I'm relatively new to MTG and have been playing with pre-made decks until recently. I'm now trying to compile a custom white/green deck (just for fun; not intending on competing), and am searching for some good soldier/elf combos for white/green, respectively.

Right now the deck is way unbalanced, and most of my cards cost too much so I can't play them until later on when I've already taken massive damage. I'm looking for suggestions on some good combos I can do with the soldiers (I'm trying to find an enchantment or creature card that will boost all of the soldiers; my intention wasn't to create a soldier deck, but it just sort of turned out that way so I thought I'd continue to roll with it), what elf cards/combos would be good (especially low-costing elves that help with mana acceleration), and in general any other balance issues.

Note 1: I've recently been playing against my friend's black vampire, so I think my deck now may be skewed slightly to try and defend myself against him. Ideally though, I'll have a more well-rounded deck that works well against any color type.

Note 2: Perhaps I need some instants that also prevent my opponent from playing creature spells (something like Negate or Essence Scatter but for green/white).
