Personaly i would include some Rootborn Defenses to counter supreme verdict. Currently your deck is very vulnerable to it. Apart from that it looks good. Maybe another Heliod, God of the Sun ?

Thanks for the input! I was thinking about adding Rootborn Defenses into the sideboard for that purpose, but very very few people at where I play actually play esper control or usa control. Most games I don't even need Heliod, God of the Sun because i get there before he can get on the field.

I like the deck, very similiar to my eleet boros deck that splash red for charm. Like minded thought process :) hopeful eidolon is such a great card and so underrated! I thought about putting gift of orzhova in but soldier's pro multi kinda shunned me away. Have you thought about Banisher Priest to deal with things like the ever so popular Master of Waves from monoblue or Desecration Demon should games last longer than they should.Definite +1 though!Take a look at my deck and throw some feedback :)

I have thought about Banisher Priest before, but master of waves isn't a problem when flying gets over it. Fabled Hero is the real hero in this deck. 3rd turn Fabled Hero 4th turn Gift of Orzhova and Ethereal Armor , swing for 14 if nothing else is on the field. Banisher Priest is definitely something i'll keep in mind though, thanks for the +1 eleet5

That's very similiar to my T3-T4 play that also does 14 damage but alpha strikes through with Gods Willing and Titan's Strength . I like dealing with master because that's usually their win con and it also more than likely shuts down the devotion to their god making her not hitting you for 5 unblockable every turn, but yeah flying gets over them except the specter is usually there but that 14 life will do you good every turn

Man love the deck a ton :p Def gonna give this one a try :p Only question I have is why not MD the Elspeth, Sun's Champion ?

BTW +1 from me :p

contractedhippy he mentioned earlier that by the time heliod comes out most times he's already winning and that's a 4 cmc. With elspeth being 6 cmc, its pretty much over or almost over already by the time you cast her. While she's quite the game changer, her cmc makes stray away at what a white weenie deck wants to do.

Hope this helps~

Sorry skimmed the comments cuz was busy but yeah helps now :p Thanks :) Been wondering for a while now what to make for a standard deck as I want to get into competitive standard and this deck makes a ton of sense :p

Having nykthos out can help get her out there sooner, but she's not needed all the time. I would normally only side her in against a very very heavy control matchup to try to pump out some creatures. Thanks for the +1 too!

November 24, 2013 5:30 p.m.

That makes sense :p And no problem :) Any tips for playing the deck? Like what kind of hands you should keep

i've kept anything from 1-5 mana and no creatures before lol. There's a lot of gas in the deck, and any card is good in any situation. The protection spells are key in this deck, always have one. The perfect, and I mean perfect play is 1st turn Hopeful Eidolon , 2nd turn 2Ethereal Armor swing for 7, 3rd turn Ajani, Caller of the Pride double strike flying swing for game. It's beautiful when it works contractedhippy

Wow O.o The power is crazy and doesn't give the slower decks in the format a chance! And it's relatively budget too :p

I will never see that play martinbr lol, at my fnm I can pretty much guarantee someone t2 removal me pretty much all the time and t3 at the latest so getting 3 for 1'd but if you can get eidolon to 7/7 and get a swing in its pretty much game.

Soldier is there to deal with multi color decks and gain you life off them :p

martinbr It is I'm sure, 3 mana for a 7/7 lifelink? Loxodon smiter pales in comparison!

deckarchitect Soldier of the Pantheon is the best 1 drop atm imo. Blocks Loxodon Smiter s and Fleecemane Lion s all day :)

Favored Hoplite is to big of a target to play in this deck. No one cares about the soldier until they realize 5 turns in i've gained 3 life off of home and can block multiple creatures for free. I play tested with hoplite before, never really worked as well deckarchitect

Precinct Captain is an excellent choice for this deck. (-2 Fiendslayer (sideboard), -2 Chosen By Heliod, +4 Precinct Captain). My suggestion.

great deck love running white weenie +1. personally i think that Cavalry Pegasus is great and since its pretty enchantment and targetting heavy try Phalanx Leader . And this is something you should really do

-4 Chosen by Heliod

+4 Ordeal of Heliod

Its an aggro deck, you need the attack more than the defense and the life and so what about the card draw. it gets a counter every time it attacks.

I ran Ordeal of Heliod before in this deck and it worked awful. My creatures never stayed, the 3 turns attacking takes too long for it to blow up, and Chosen by Heliod gets me an extra card and it stays on the field after 3 turns if it takes that long. Phalanx Leader just takes too long to set up and dies way too easily. I normally don't have many creatures on the field at one time, making him almost useless. I have though about Cavalry Pegasus though, and could one day make an appearance. Thanks for the +1 though swaheely, and I appreciate the feedback.

tcomstedt Fiendslayer Paladin is just too much of a threat to take out. The lifelink, the first strike, and can't be targeted by a lot of things, it's just so beautiful. And the main point of the deck is to keep the enchantments flowing, making Chosen by Heliod prime for the enchantment and the card draw. I do love love love Precinct Captain though, it's such an awesome card. I've thought about sideboarding him for awhile.

What would you SB the angel against? Just wondering :p

November 25, 2013 8:52 p.m.

martinbr says... #24

Very control, very heavy creature removal decks. If I play against a deck like that I side in all creatures and lose some enchantments, never the ethereal armors or the gifts though.

I have an enchantment/white weenie deck kinda along these lines, and using Fabled Hero es and the Ordeal of Heliod for life gain, along with Ajani, Caller of the Pride , just wanted to let you know that the counters do not need to come from the Ordeal...they can come from anywhere, such as Ajani's +1 ability, to ramp it up sooner, or from a Phalanx Leader 's boost onto that card as well. I know you probably know this, but thought I would toss it out there.

That being said, I am glad to see your deck is doing so well. I like to see that someone is doing well with a deck similar to my own. I wish I could play a deck like this and do half as well.
