I'm really lost here... what is this deck even trying to do? how is it stax?

Its not "stax" its "Stacks" how you manipulate the stack when something triggers will mean the difference between 2 +1/+1 counters and 4 or 6. This may not be a super crazy competetive deck but it is definetly fun to watch all of your creatures explode into monsters in 1 turn. And I'll update the description to better describe what it does I guess.

I don't really see what you're trying to do with the stack. To me, it just seems like you're dumping a bunch of counters on things, and you just need to remember your triggers. I wouldn't consider that needing an intimate understanding of the stack. Maybe I'm missing something.

@Murphy Its all about the order in which they go on. An example if Renegade Krasis is on the top of the stack no other creatures will benefit from his second ability but maybe if hes in the middle all the evolve triggers under him will get to go twice if you use Ooze Flux right after or before him. You can also use Ooze Flux inbetween some evolve triggers to ensure a creature gets a counter on it which might throw everything back on the stack again. Also with the Vigean Hydropon in play if he goes first the creature might not evolve. These are only 3 examples and they only get messier the more times you use Ooze Flux.

I used to run something like this a few rotations ago I'm running out of fingers!, Kalonian Hydra helped the counter game very much so.

And Prime Speaker Zegana aside from her mana cost, getting her out as a 20/20 would get you quite a bit of draw power, if you're loooking for a card in your deck

Ddidn't see the price on Kalonian Hydra there, my B xD

Have you looked into Bioshift? It works well with a lot of your guys :)

@rorofat Thanks for the tip. Fathom Mage gets me an unimaginable amount of draw in this deck. She is also easier to play and recurrs much more easily. I don't have a kalonian hydra but i do have some of those hydras that double their counters every upkeep, cant remember the namt right now. Ill look into that. Never would have thought about hydras so thank you!

I have looked into it.... I really would like to add it as a finishing move but dont know what to take out...

February 19, 2016 12:23 p.m.

Cyclonic Rift? Hits everything, you can overload it pretty easily with the Gyre Sages.

Primordial Hydra is the guy that doubles :)

Prophet of Kruphix would be sweeeet in this list. Maybe cut a Fathom Mage or two? (And I'm totally not suggesting it because she was banned in EDH and sees literally non play anymore whatsoever)

-Orvos- says... #13

Awesome! I totally forgot she gave flash!!!! She is going in! My opponents turn would litterally be as useful as my own!

mtGG_Studios says... #14

Yeah man. And Coiling Oracle may also be useful, because she can net you an extra land or an extra card.

-Orvos- says... #15

Ill probably take out Vigean Hydropon for Prophet of Kruphix

@FAMOUSWATERMELON id like to add two Cyclonic Rift what do you think i should take out for it... I cant decide

Alasdair89 says... #16

I thought you could only cast creatures if the stack was empty? How are you getting multiple creatures on the stack without Prophet of Kruphix?

Alasdair89 Ooze Flux makes ooze babies at instant speed.

Ezuri, Claw of Progress + Sage of Hours is a combo I often try to include in my Simic decks.

August 22, 2016 5 p.m.

-Orvos- says... #19

While those are both awesome they don't seem to fit well with the idea of this deck. I might want to make a deck around that combo though. Maybe a flicker deck with a Master Biomancer

August 23, 2016 7:16 p.m.

Gyre Sage with more than one counter + Orochi Leafcaller + Freed from the Real = infinite mana. Probably more cards than you wanted, but....

kidmoto says... #21

If you want infinite untap of Gyre Sage you could try Kiora's Follower and Illusionist's Bracers but I don't know what you would change.

October 15, 2016 12:20 p.m.

-Orvos- says... #22

kidmoto sadly that combo wouldn't work because Kiora's Follower can't untap himself

October 15, 2016 4:23 p.m.

kidmoto says... #23

That's true, you would need two Kiora's Follower with one equipped with Illusionist's Bracers to pull it off.

October 16, 2016 12:36 p.m.

kidmoto says... #24

Actually, I'm wrong you'd need two Kiora's Follower both equipped with Illusionist's Bracers.

Go infinite with Umbral Mantle It's a good enough combo to build around, here is one of my pet projects... Overgrown Umbral Elf ($30 Turn 3 Infinite)
