Dude honestly, my EDH decks need to be fully foiled out, Tier 1, and running Guru Lands. My basics costs 4 times this deck or I won't play them (unless they are Hermit Druid decks, and can't run basic lands).

I make sure to spend a small school's yearly budget on my decks or they aren't going to be run.

How do you expect me to play this?

Not really, only that I am working on a 100$ cEDH deck and it really hurts to do lands. It is Hermit Druid so I can't do any basics too.

Oh gotcha. Yeah for that Lands will be rough. Since I am not rolling with cEDH I can deal with the taplands and not take much issue with it. I imagine that taplands are difficult to deal with in cEDH for that budget. I mean you could grab a Seedborn Muse cheap these days and maybe pull some shenanigans with that, but besides that I got nothing. Sorry friend

Of course. And no rush, I may or may not make more changes. :p Wish I could playtest more. Unfortunately goldfishing can only tell so much. Someone recommended Kokusho, the Evening Star to me today and it was basically an auto include for me. Seems quite powerful.

Hey, i am making a meren deck myself and i am drawing heavily on inspiration from yours :) i wondered if you have the time you would wanna look at mine as i have a lot of maybe's from war of the spark, and as you have experience with Meren you are probably better at judging if they would fit in a Meren deck. Really anticipating the changes! Bought your decklist a while ago and I'm not really a good deck builder so don't know what to change :) I have Phyrexian Arena in one of my other decks, for which card would you exchange it?

Some changes have been made! I do apologize for not responding to some folks and for taking forever to get these changes out there. I work full time and these past two months going into the next month are the busiest of the year for us. I have been working about 60-70 hours a week for a solid month now and tbh I have been burnt out in everything I like; including Magic. I am not necessarily trying to make excuses but I thought I owe it to ya folks to explain sort of why I have been missing and have been late.

Thank ya! I am a fan of Moldervine Reclamation mainly because I wanted to slot something in that was the same CMC as Black Market that still provided advantages to the deck while on a budget. I don't think any of the new cards appeal to me yet besides Sanctum of Eternity from C19, but some of the reprints surely do. Beacon of Unrest getting reprinted again is nice and so is Grimoire of the Dead . Both were above the $3-$5 mark so hopefully we will see the prices drop more for them as well as Solemn Simulacrum , Sol Ring , Lightning Greaves and some other staples. That would be very nice.

Godzerker To answer your question I think you could slide Phyrexian Arena in for Moldervine Reclamation , or Smothering Abomination , or even a basic land. I think you could make it work. Just never drop below 36 lands.

Are there any Commanders that you guys are interested in lately? I know I have been looking to revamp my WG token deck with a RWG deck. I am also thinking about brewing Morph and a Landfall deck.
