This whole deck is based around creatures and spells that when you play them or certain things happen you gain life and/or your opponent lose life. You can achieve this with a number of the creatures in this deck as the commander but I settled on Athreos, God of Passage because he will help to keep some of your creatures out the graveyard and help you to gain/steal life.
