Commander / EDH

Started with The Mimeoplasm EDH premade, decided to cut blue from the deck, and shuffled commanders around until I realized I'd found Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord in a pack recently. After adding all kinds of graveyard interaction cards to the deck when Mimeoplasm was the commander, Jarad seems like a pretty good fit!

So, the way the deck works should be pretty straightforward. Get big creatures into play with Jarad out, then sac them to hurt everyone.

Right now, it seems like early game can be a little stale for this deck, but that might just be a natural part of an EDH deck? I've also occasionally had a problem with stalling out waiting to draw big creatures, I suppose, hence Liliana Vess and such.

Updates Add

Changed a bunch of cards around. Added Bloodthrone Vampire for token generators like Garruk Wildspeaker, Creakwood Liege, Korozda Guildmage and Kessig Cagebreakers... The idea being "sac a ton of tokens, make Bloodthrone huge, sac to Jarad", OR just "make a bunch of tokens, swing for a ridiculous amount because Garruk -4". I guess I shifted the entire deck in a more token-y direction, I think a balance between "tokens funnel into Jarad" and "Jarad + BIG CREATURES" will be nice.

Added Ghost Quarter because fancy lands seem to be the norm in EDH.

Added Quicksilver Amulet because Elvish Piper usable in any deck for relatively low cost.

Added Primordial Hydra and Ring of Kalonia to pull ridiculous +1/+1 counter shenanigans, similarly with Skullbriar, the Walking Grave.

Added Golgari Guildgate and Chromatic Lantern for obvious reasons.

Added Liliana of the Dark Realms for swamp silliness, despite her legend rule-ing Liliana Vess.

Added Akroma's Memorial because it seems like it'd be supremely broken in EDH decks, esp. big-creature-y decks like mine.

Swapped out Mortivore to re-add Precursor Golem because Mortivore was an inferior Lhurgoyf when there are zero creatures in the graveyard. It pretty much filled a role Sewer Nemesis filled much more effectively. Also Sewer Nemesis can be cast targeting oneself to power itself up, a strategy most opponents don't expect and can't do anything about without something like Bojuka Bog (as opposed to being able to Elixir of Immortality him to 0/0).

I think that covers all of my more recent additions.
