Hornet Queen and no Elvish Mystic? If you aren't lucky enough to discard the bees, then you will be stuck before you can play one from your hand.

I would take out one Nyx Weaver before you deck yourself (I've seen it happen with only one), and maybe one of the Sidisi, Brood Tyrant, as well as one or two Nighthowler. Grave Strength is bad even in this build.

Hero's Downfall would be nice in there as well. Liliana Vess is also brilliant in this kind of deck. You slow your opponent down, you get the chance to go find a new Whip of Erebos if yours gets removed, and if you go ultimate with her, just think of all the creatures you have been milling and didn't exile so far, that alone would win you the game, but getting your opponent's graveyard as well, is just priceless. (I know the Downfall and Liliana are a bit spendy, but they would be major improvements)

Undergrowth Scavenger doesn't grow after you play it, but it also doesn't get smaller, which let's you use your Whip at your will. It's a good card, but I still like the Nighthowler more, since you can bestow with it. Nemesis of Mortals might also be interesting and even though I hadn't give any thought to this before Rakshasa Vizier and Marang River Prowler might do some interesting things in here!

Random question. Is it possible to use Nyx Weaver ability from the graveyard or would it have to read "Exile Nyx Weaver from your graveyard..."?

I definitely think Dead Drop is a good idea in sideboard maybe, especially against the gods, Fleecemane Lion and Sagu Mauler

@Viral_Assassin You cannot exile Nyx Weaver from the graveyard, because it does not specify that you can.

Nice job first play test things went silky smooth and that's hard to do on tappedout.

This deck seems really interesting, how does it fair against the meta right now?

@majordeathtrout it really depends on whether of not this deck goes off. If I can get going with Whip of Erebos or a Nighthowler bestowed Sidisi, Brood Tyrant, then it works really well. Control is a fairly poor matchup however, because of countering key spells and boardwipe, but this is a pretty fun deck that is surprisingly effective.

when dragons of tarkir comes out there is going to be lots of control so i would run Thoughtseize or Duress (when it becomes standard legal again)either mainboard or sideboard depending on your meta. also run counter spells like Silumgar's Scorn or Dissolve

@magicmike14 yeah, control is already fairly popular at my local meta :/ Duress in the sideboard will probably help a lot. Do you think I should swap out the sideboard Negates for Dissolve? the extra saturation is annoying and Negate can still counter walkers.

The polluted deltas are kinda pricey right nowI say replace the one with evolving wilds

@Shadowxlas That 1 Polluted Delta is the one that I personally own. If you are on a budget the deck certainly works fine with Evolving Wilds or another basic land.

@manboybearfish while i like being able to grab a land, on turn 3 i would rather play a Courser of Kruphix, and Commune with the Gods can grab me a Whip of Erebos on turn 2.

ok makes sense. i forgot that the whip is an enchantment

Why so many whips? You run Commune with the Gods so you're not milling them that often I bet. I would add Den Protector, Dragonlord Atarka and Dragonlord Silumgar. Don't you think 4x Stain the Mind in sideboard is quite unusable? Disdainful Stroke woulnd't be better?
