Hi, i like this deck of yours. I wanted to suggest a card that is as good as Burn at the Stake. In a way it would be like having more copies of it. Furystoke Giant delivers a tap for 2 damage ability to all your creatures in play as soon as it lands on the battlefield. So summoning sickness on the giant does not matter. Unless its countered you get to immediately tap all your guys if you want. The ability can be used a 2nd time because the giant has persist. You would only need a way to kill it in a new turn. What with this being a burn deck I don't think that is a problem.

MagicMarc. Wow, thanks dude I did not know about this card! This is definitely something I have to add in! What do you suggest I take out though? Also nice add-on of it having persist :D

I am not sure, how does the Hellrider work for this deck? good or so so? if it is the latter maybe cut it to 2 and add 2 Furystoke Giant. At the least put the giants in the sideboard for game two when you cannot swing at your opponent with your creatures due to stuff like Ghostly Prison.

Thanks dude, Hellrider is nice, but now that you mention it I think I will take two out for two giants of the furystoke variety. And put some in side, thanks for all your help!

Magma Spray is better than Pillar of Flame for your sideboard.

gleeson.token, Magma Spray can only target creatures whilst pillar can target both players and creatures, the fact that it is a sorcery doesn't really that much, but I think I will swap them out for Wild Slash. Thanks for reminding me.

I would swap a Shock for a wild slash, because the wild slashes are just slightly better.

I think 21 Mountain Is a little low for a deck with no mana acceleration and 8 five-drops, which is a lot for mono-red burn. I'd try to add more lands and/or reduce the high mana cards.

Also Rift Bolt is usually good in burn, as well as mind-games.

ConnorMo First off, thqank you so much for reminding me of Rift Bolt, I completely forgot about it XD. Until I can find a suitable spot in main for it, its staying in side.

THe land situation, I added one more because you are right :D

I like your deck for the fact of how cheep of a modern deck it is

What about Monastery Swiftspear? It would be an amazing addition to any red deck with a nice amount of burn. A one drop 1/2 with Haste and Prowess is ridiculous and it would be a great addition. Abbot of Keral Keep would be another great addition to the deck. Both have prowess and are cheap to cast. One last suggestion would be Eidolon of the Great Revel. In most if not all situcations it will hurt your opponent more than it will hurt you.

Stumbled upon this deck a couple of weeks ago... Years old, still kicking ass. Thumbs up!

Manytrees Thank you :), yeah this is a pretty old deck and since then I've actually went out and bought this and surprisingly do decently well in my friend group! Considering it can reliably turn 5 kill!

I'd suggest a playset of Monastery Swiftspear. You're probably not doing anything t1 anyway, its a creature for tapping, and represents a lot of damage. I'd suggest taking out chandra's pheonix. the pheonix represents maybe 6 damage if you play it on 3. Thats much less efficient than the rest of the deck in terms of value. You can't win a grindy game.

jld592 That's a good point, I avoided it in the past because it doesn't really fall in the theme/gimmick of the deck but I suppose it's just a good include! Thanks!
