Wicked White Angels

Legacy* Angels

merddyn2002

Angels in the outfield, in the infield and up your tookus.

Angel of Hope is king here. Ideal combo is to make all my permanents indestructible and then use Magus or Akroma's Vengeance to wipe out everyone else's board while leaving me sitting pretty.

Magus and Akroma can also be used to level the playing field if another deck gets off to a faster start.

Spirit links for life gain or to neutralize opponent creatures along with salt blast, chastise, witch hunter, master decoy and disenchant. I usually find myself gaining quite a bit of life, which is nice when I get to tap into the planeswalker ultimate ability to grant an avatar equal to life.

Since this deck needs quite a bit of mana to operate I use Endless Horizons to get mana out faster. If someone disenchants it, i have backups. Blinding Angels can also buy some time.

Soltari Troopers sneak behind the lines with some shadow damage, especailly when paired with the +1 from Crovax. I try to get the Troopers equipped with the spears as unblockable angel factories.

Magus of the Moat grants air supremacy.

This deck is still a work in progress, but honestly it seems more balanced than you would think because the Endless Horizons let me get mana out pronto. It seems to play equally well 1 on 1 or in groups and just playing this deck makes me a target in private FNM games.

Suggestions

Updates Add

Removed the troopers, Witch Hunter, Master Decoy, seraph Sanctuary, and 3xSeraph of Dawn because they simply weren't pulling their weight.

Upped Disenchant to 4.

Added 2x Archon of Redemption, Ajani, Caller of the Pride, 2x Angelic Chorus, and +2 Endless Horizons, Entreat the Angels, Heroes Remembered, Maze of Ith

The additional life functions from Archon and Angelic Chorus works exceptionally well, especially when paired with the top abilities of either Plainswalkers. Getting a token creature that matches my life total from Goldmain + Spirit link effectively doubles my life every round and cascades by making the token bigger every round. Angelic Chorus compounds these effects. Using these combos I broke 1600 life points in a game this weekend.

Also discovered that using Endless Horizons to yank out mana from my library when it's no longer needed will mean that I no longer waste draws getting land once I have an ample supply. I have to have 4 mana to get the first Endless out. I typically use that to pull 5-6 plains only just in case someone Disenchants the EH when it's out. I'll have plenty of land when the next EH comes out so I'll yank all the land out and make the library very potent.

I'm considering adding another Whispersilk Cloak simply because I've noticed that the shroud and unblockable on a critter comes in very handy. I might also add another Angel of Hope and Maze of Ith because when that comes out, if it doesn't get countered, I will typically win. The 3x EH make the high mana cost irrelevant.
