i noticed that you don't run wall creatures, but cards like Wall of Omens and Wall of Blossoms are good defenders that can draw you a card too, if ever you're in need of more card draws.

Colfenor's Urn is good protection spell too. can save up to 3 of your creatures. or can be used for politics and save opponents creatures from dying.

@hox167 - yeah, because aside from Assault Formation , i don't have a way to make them deal combat damage.. thanks for the suggestion though..

@BIBIGIV - That's interesting.. I'll see if i can fit it in the deck.. thanks!

Revel in Riches is another possible win condition you could have and Smothering Tithe is a good ramp for white. They both also can help each other in creating more tokens.

Fracturing Gust or edict removals against possible voltron decks can be useful

I'm not sure if this has been suggested already, but you can add to the combat tricks you have with Vhati il-Dal . You can hold this creature over your opponent's head, and threaten them if they will block your tough creatures.

@Conaxi4783 - Hmm.. i didn't remember Revel in Riches .. although, it's not as reliable, as i would like.. but, i'm going to include it in the maybeboard.. might do a couple of playtests with it.. with Smothering Tithe , i had it in a previous iteration of this deck, but i chose to cut it because my playgroup has a couple of house rules, that puts a bounty on certain cards that we feel are annoying to play against.. Smothering Tithe , Rhystic Study , Sol Ring , Gaea's Cradle , Sensei's Divining Top & Lion's Eye Diamond are those cards currently.. whenever one player destroys/exiles any of those, they would get a point in our league per month.. although Sol Ring is still in my deck, it's not as eye catching to remove from the battlefield, unlike those others, so I had to cut it.. Thanks for the suggestions btw.

@hamdeadly - that could be useful, although my deck has a couple of enchantments that i would not rather destroy, and would prefer single/multiple targeted removal spells like Return to Dust .. maybe as a last resort.. but i will keep that mass removal spell in mind, if ever i would update this deck.. thanks!

@Jobiji - that's a viable strategy! let's see if i can replace one of my creatures for Vhati il-Dal .. thanks!

Pattern of Rebirth is another good tutor that can fetch Felidar Sovereign when your commander is destroyed. it's an underused card in my opinion.

@RoxieRoxie - whooaah! why haven't I noticed that card when I'm updating the deck all this time? thanks! I'm going to include it, just going to check which card to replace it with. Thanks for suggesting it!

Have you tried Dead of Winter as a boardwipe? It's almost the same with Toxic Deluge , and more likely than not, your opponents doesn't have snow creatures.

Replacing your basic lands to Snow-Covered Forest s, Snow-Covered Plains and Snow-Covered Swamp s will increase the number of -X/-X counters.

no problem. Also, if you have more budget, Land Tax can help you dealing with only 36 lands.

@vediusmaps - that's an awesome idea! I never knew that card exist! Will definitely include it in the next major update of the deck.. Thanks for the suggestion!

@hamdeadly - yeah, i have been pondering on adding 1 more land, but I can't seem to find which card to replace it with.. Should I have more budget, I might include Land Tax .. thanks!

the following new cards are great for your deck too Glory Bearers, Athreos, Shroud-Veiled and Grasping Giant.

January 28, 2020 8:20 p.m.

LastEdegy says... #15

@jager69 - yep! I'm really going to add that to my deck.. I haven't been able to get one yet, because of my busy schedule.. but thanks!

@RalZarek77 - Glory Bearers is not good imo.. It doesn't do anything on its own, and for 4 mana creature, Tree of Perdition or Indomitable Ancients are way better.. and Athreos, Shroud-Veiled is kinda slow.. 6 mana that can protect one permanent on your end step, which can be solved by one opponent casting 2-3 mana single removal spell.. Also being indestructible, it's going to be hard to remove, and when I have no creatureson my battlefield due to a mass removal spell, I'm going to be forced to put coin counters on enemies creatures, since there's no "may" in it's triggered ability.. It's great for politics though, I'll give it that.. Grasping Giant is interesting enough.. I'll think about that.. Thanks for the suggestions!

Arachnogenesis might not be as versatile as Ready / Willing but it has low CMC that can save you when an opponent goes all-out on you.

LastEdegy says... #17

@gaglink - lol! thanks for commenting on this deck too! Is Arachnogenesis your favorite card for edh? I feel like it is.. lol. anyway, I think that card is good in my Slimefoot, the Stowaway deck and here in this deck too! It's a good surprising way to deal with opponents who go wide with their creatures such as token decks.. Thanks again for suggesting it here!

Vizier of the Menagerie is an underrated card imo. It can technically provide you with 8 card hand size, and can mana fix your deck, especially for 3+ colored decks.

gaglink says... #19

it's not my favorite card, but i recently know that the card is good on protecting a deck with green color. i have also won a couple of games with it, so i know it's good.

how about Thrilling Encore? it can overturn an imminent boardwipe and make your board difficult to deal with.

February 20, 2020 7:13 p.m.

jets99 says... #21

has anybody suggested Defense of the Heart yet? It can help when most of your creatures are 4 CMC and higher.

February 20, 2020 8:23 p.m.

LastEdegy says... #22

@Tiyos99 - that's a great idea! however, i don't know yet which card to replace.. I'll test and think about it.. but thanks for suggesting it!

@gaglink - oh.. i see.. i think Arachnogenesis is better in the other deck, but i'll test it here to be sure..

@doge1980 - that's a good card to rebuild from a boardwipe! i'll test it for sure.. thanks!

@jets99 - i think somebody already before.. i think it was before adding a suggestion option on commenting on another user's deck.. but thanks for re-suggesting it..

Branchloft Pathway  Flip, Brightclimb Pathway  Flip and Bala Ged Recovery  Flip are great MDFCs for Abzan colors.

i don't understand why you don't have Wickerbough Elder. it's a treefolk and artifact or enchantment removal. also Lignify or Song of the Dryads, as flavor cards too.

Mythos of Nethroi is another Beast Within for an abzan deck. and Nethroi, Apex of Death can recur your whole graveyard since the deck has low to no power creatures.
