Using low-power creatures to win, spinning off of Ria Ivor, Bane of Bladehold’s ability to make more mites. I’ve found on Arena that some players aren’t used to seeing Ria Ivor, Bane of Bladehold in play, so their strategy against it can vary. I’ve had a fun time conducting this, and a fun time testing it out, so I hope you find it fun, too! I might be tuning it up later so that I can optimize the removal, but for now it plays fine enough.

I found many Ria builds focused on the toxic ability, and while that’s a solid choice I think that this setup gives you more options. First off, just about every creature here has a keyword that spins off of evasion to make defending against you costly—-both Deathtouch and first strike/double strike are in here plenty for early game, and flying follows at the mid game point. It’s important to have these keywords so that you can break through the lines and start making mites. The keywords setup the early game, and then creature boosts finish up the later game.

Some fun stuff about this: Creatures with double strike will create mites on their first strike damage, then deal damage normally on their normal damage step. So yes, Gallant Pie-Wielder does get double strike if it is chosen by Ria and is unblocked. The boardwipes are amazing. Expel the Interlopers and Unstable Glyphbridge   both synergize well here. The aristocrats, Wispdrinker Vampire and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim convert Ria’s chosen’s damage, mitigating the damage prevention. I’m glad Serra Redeemer came back to Bloomburrow for this deck, especially when you have a Delney, Streetwise Lookout in play. Then you’re making 5/5’s that’ll be 6/5’ with Ria attacking.
