So here's the thing, and I'm not trying to be an ass, but:

Why the fuck do you need Shimmering Grotto ?

At first I thought maybe because he uses alternate-colored flashbacks, or splashes for something, but then I looked harder and I got confused D:

Haha, again sorry bro.

WHat do you think of the deck any improvements? Heck I should get an upvote just for the confusion lol

Do you have a budget, is there anything I should consider (combos, cards you have a bond with, monetary value, etc etc) when suggesting?

No, open to all suggestions, want it post rotation since I mainly based this deck off of some of the Theros cards, since at pre-release I am selecting Ambition which is devotion to black.

This is what I came up with for Mono-Black post-Theros:

deck-large:post-rotation-mono-black-wip

For your deck, there are a lot of cards in here that will underperform and won't make much of a difference. Mainly Balustrade Spy , Festering Newt , Bubbling Cauldron , Underworld Connections , Contaminated Ground and Slate Street Ruffian . These cards, in my opinion, are very underwhelming and they don't intimidate your opponent like a Liliana's Reaver would, for example.

Just to make sure I understand the point of your deck: token army overwhelming and a ton of discard card spells to keep the field mostly clean, ya? Sounds mean and effective, ha. But I wonder if Crypt Incursion is going to be that useful with only one in the deck. You planning on holding onto it till you sac a mess tokens and hit your own graveyard? Might still want to take two so it has a real chance of making a difference. If you're going to save up for a bomb of LG, you might consider hitting up some Read the Bones as well.

One idea I got from you for my Of Merchants and Murder deck is getting Sanguine Bond . Double dipping the direct damage from Gray Merchant of Asphodel sounds fun.
