Sideboard

Creature (4)

Enchantment (4)

Instant (7)

A controllish wIzzet deck built around making good use of the awesome mid-range sweeper that is Catch / Release.

Izzet Charm provides early creature removal and later card ramp.

Anger of the Gods, Mizzium Mortars, and Electrickery aim to keep the board clean. The idea is that while any number of removal spells can trade one-for-one, these spells can also have the capacity to trade greater than one-for-one.

Hypersonic Dragon allows for instant-speed, more powerful removal Catch / Release, Anger of the Gods, or Mizzium Mortars.

Scourge of Valkas is a helpful win-con. Most of my games end via one of the four flying creatures in the deck tapping out the opponent. It's no coincidence that each has 4 toughness (as well as the Volatile Rig in the sideboard), so that they can potentially survive an Anger of the Gods.

Boros Charm, Warleader's Helix , and Elixir of Immortality are in to provide sustainability, with the first two also adding some extra burn as needed.

Counterflux , Negate, and Izzet Charm all provide cover for our creatures, against their big creatures, and any pesky noncreature spells.

The guildgates are partially a budget choice, but mostly because we'll never need white earlier than turn 4, and running 12 allows for use of Crackling Perimeter as an alt win-con.

Sideboard consists of just some basic spells to help the deck slant more aggro/control/burn as needed.
