This deck is great! Plays really smoothly - every time I play tested it I did not have a problem getting something out.
It was fun getting a turn 2 card:Descendants' Path (with birds) and then revealing 2 Wolfir Silverheart s in a row.

I basically made this same deck for my original wolf deck (like 90% the same) but it didn't work for me at all (my new wolf deck doesn't work all the time either so I need to work on that but that's beside the point) the actual point is i just play tested this deck 3 times and it won all 3 times in 7 turns or less (mostly thanks to Wolfir Silverheart ) but yeah this deck is great

Game 1: total annihilation of my life by turn 5. I got a bad hand to start and once Wolfir Silverheart hit the field on turn 3. I should have just scooped.
Game 2: I'm not sure how I did it, call it luck, but I always managed to clear your field asap after something landed. I won that one. you had 9 lands out and an Increasing Savagery in hand. and it was turn 16 of the game by the time I killed you. lol You probably would have had me if you had some additional draw power, or a way to get creatures from your deck to hand in bulk such as by Lead the Stampede .
Game 3: I got wooped on turn 7 by a 10/8 Howlgeist . I drew a Ghostly Flicker . If I had a Vessel of Endless Rest out, I would have cast bolas and stole that damn thing. xD I had Two bolas in hand. just ONE more mana Dx grawl!
Well, that tells me I need another Devastation Tide in place of a Ghostly Flicker and you need a creature accelerant such as Lead the Stampede , which I think would work great with this deck's setup.
+1 because I actually had fun playing both sides of this match. Was a damn good game. xD

Lead the Stampede would be awesome! Just reading the games makes them sound good xD.
Thanks for all the comments and +1's. You can be sure I'll comment more on your decks when I can playtest :).

y u no Rootbound Crag or Kessig Wolf Run ?
With such potentially beefy creatures, you're going to need Kessig Wolf Run to get through chump-blockers.

I agree with zandl in that you could use a couple Rootbound Crag s, but Kessig Wolf Run is probably less necessary with all the "can't block" effects from the wolves.

I am loving this so much. What would you potentially put in as a poor man's Bonfire? I'd love to play this at an FNM or something but I have no chance of getting those.

The poor man's bonfire? Maybe Slagstorm or Mizzium Mortars ;).

Kessig Wolf Run is just good, though. If you have nothing else to do, it turns your lands into damage. If you DO have things to do, then that works, too. The ability's on a land so it's not taking up any space in your deck.

I would find some room for at least two Huntmaster of the Fells Flip . He's a boss, and a distraction if nothing else.

then yeah, remove Lead the Stampede and Wandering Wolf for Feed the Pack and Huntmaster of the Fells Flip . totally forgot about him.

Immerwolf + Huntmaster of the Fells Flip isn't so good.

I understand. But both will be large targets. If you only have two Huntmasters in the deck, it's not like they'll coincide a whole lot. And even if they do, is 2 life, a 2/2 wolf, 3 to face, and 2 to a creature in addition to a 4/4 trampler such a bad deal for 4 mana?
September 4, 2012 9:30 p.m.
Diggin' the deck. My girlfriend wants to play a wolf deck, and the one I made her is running similar but seeing yours gives me ideas. Gave you the +1 for the deck!
September 4, 2012 9:53 p.m.
Ok thanks! ;).
Hmm, I might run 2x huntmaster. Thanks for the help!
September 4, 2012 10:26 p.m.
Huntmaster of the Fells Flip would do great here, and it's actually great with Immerwolf , contrary to popular belief, since Ravager of the Fells Flip Flip rarely transforms back anyway, and if there's a decent amount of removal around, Huntmaster of the Fells Flip will never transform in the first place.
And if you say Huntmaster of the Fells Flip and Immerwolf lack synergy, you're sitting with a 5/5 trampler, a 3/3, having gained 2 life, dealt 2 damage to your opponent and killed one of their creatures, for 4 mana, and you're complaining that you're just not getting enough value :p
