Sorcery (1)

( This is my Orzhov Constellation deck )

Out of all my decks this one has changed the most over time. In the beginning this deck was actually a Shadowborn apostles deck with Athreos, God of Passage as the general. For me the deck was a little too linear and didn't perform if your gimmick didn't resolve. Then it morphed into an Orzhov good stuff deck with the same general as before. This iteration was fun and allowed me to play a number of interesting cards but it didn't have a solid game plan other than Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond . Now it has reached it's final form. Daxos has challenged fate and evaded death much like Wolverine. Which explains the reason for the alter. (aside from it looks cool.) The game plan of this deck is to get experience counters while also building a resilient pillow fort.

Some of the ways this deck reaches that feat is:

Win cons:

Removal: ""I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice."

Token Support: Buh nana na na NAH NAH... (90's x-men theme song)

Gods: As durable as adamantium

Pros:

  • The deck is resilient due to the lack of mass enchantment removal and Experience counters staying even if our general is removed.

  • The deck's pillow fort cards makes it less likely for people to target you.

  • The deck is very synergistic. Even most of the creatures count toward our experience counters.

  • God creatures turn on very easily due to the enchantments that stick to the board.

  • We have an array of removal spells to help clear our path. They also add somewhat needed politic tools to keep players from attacking.

Down sides:

  • We lack ramp and have a generally slow early game.
  • If someone does run a large amount of enchantment removal it feels bad.
  • Board wiping and using degenerate enchantment cards makes other decks target you. (Hopefully other people are doing flashy things or you have a defense in place.)

I update this deck with every new set and continue to make it as great as it can possibly be. If you have any suggestions feel free to leave a comment below (I will consider any of your suggestions and respond as to why I will or wont use it). If you dont like a card I use in the deck please tell me something I could replace it with so that the criticism is constructive.

Leaving An up-vote for any of my decks would make me a happy camper! Thanks and I hope you enjoy.
