When do you think you will release the new update for the deck

Zaueski Zada isn't weak to thing in the ice because those decks are too glass cannon-y and Zada Silverfur deck doesn't need Zada or Silverfur to win, they just make it ridiculous. If you would have taken a glance at my sideboard you'd see I can bring in an additional 9 spells to deal with a really weak 0/4.

I've got a promo Thing In The Ice and there's a reason it's dropped from being a $40 dollar card to a $6 dollar card. Okay, so let's assume we're in this situation where There's a thing in the ice with one counter left on it, I just targeted with a lightning bolt and it's been targeted with "a simple" glint. Why not another lightning bolt? Why not a display of dominance? Moonlight Hunt? Any of my cards can hit on top of a Glint cast and get rid of a thing in the ice. d:

It's not that good because it's too hard to easy to get rid of. if Thing in the Ice Flips I still can have Scourge Wolves on the field because they're horrors and then pump them before Thing in the Ice flips or after. I can use display of Dominance to murder thing in the ice, I can use an additional lightning bolt,

Pretty cocky for a 2-color deck running Evolving Wilds and just 2 Game Trails. :P

4 Cinder Glade, 4 Game Trail, 3 Westvale Abbey  Flip, then basics.

zandl every so often people come off the wrong way and you can tell how they come off to me by my response. I've ran westvale abbey in this deck before but I've found that it just doesn't seem to be that exciting. I've come around to like cinder glade, so I could see going 4 cinder glade. I don't like mana entering the battlefield tapped and I still want to have two less cards by playing one land (evolving wilds) so I'd still probably end up sitting at 2 game trails, especially if I have 4 cinder glades and 4 evolving wilds.

There's definitely room for people who want to run westvale abbey, but I just have a lot of flier hate at my shop so I tend not to run something that will allow their flier hate to go off. : P

The thinning from Wilds is trivial at most, and you literally just said you don't like lands entering play tapped. lol Cinder Glade would almost never enter tapped and supports Game Trail as a land to reveal.

zandl late game I'd rather get rid of two lands w/ evolving wilds or discard it to tormenting voice, but I guess you're right :P

The amount of scrolling I had to do to check the deck price on my mobile... Shudder...

Sweet deck though! Are there any other payoffs the deck can run (payoff being silverfur partisan/zada style cards)

Rasanck so what would a good hand of 7 cards look like before you ever decide to mull again ??? :P

Won't the game be infinite because you have to keep putting buffed 2/2 green wolves???

Short answer: no.

Long answer: The interaction between Silverfur Partisan and Zada, Hedron Grinder is complicated, but it all boils down to the fact that your spell targeting Zada targets all creatures you have on the board at the time. At that point, the Silverfur triggers and you get a 2/2 Wolf for each Wolf or Werewolf that had been targeted beforehand. Because Zada's done triggering and all the copies are already on the stack, the original spell doesn't go and check for more creatures again.

So I just returned to MTG a couple of weeks ago and ordered everything for this deck, primarily due to my budget and I really love wolves. I also missed out on innistrad originally so this gives me an opportunity to try out some of the same mechanics I missed out on. One issue I have regularly is with scourge wolf, I seem to have difficulty getting the double red cost early and hardly ever get an opportunity to trigger his delerium effect. What do you think about replacing him with Labholt pacifist? a turn 3 howlpack resurgence turns him on without the flip and even if not turned on or flipped is still a good blocker and still triggers purifier zada combo. Do you have issues with scourge wolf or is this just something that I've encountered by luck? THanks for the deck by the way +1

Sorry meant partisan zada combo not purifier.

Noobtendencies i mean i generally don't consider not always dropping him turn two an issue. 1/3 of the lands are dedicated to solving that problem, and another 1/3 of the lands are Mountain, which is why I generally don't run into not being able to drop him on turn two. Try not to start off the game with dropping a Forest, because you can always draw into a Scourge Wolf. Generally when I don't drop Scourge Wolf it's because i'm dropping Timberpack Wolf or Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip.

Pumping him leads to better results, delirium makes him go from good to bat crap crazy good, and if you're playing against a thing in the ice deck he stays on the field lol. Other players casting two spells don't make him weaker just because of the cast ability. I prefer him over lambhold pacifist, and scourge wolf can do better at combat than lambholt pacifist because i'm generally able to make him last a lot longer than he should with all the pump spells. : P

I love the deck overall - I was actually one of the first people to come up with the combo on reddit when SFP was spoiled - but I'm not overly a fan of Scourge Wolf. You're not likely to have delirium in this deck (or so it seems) and it's pretty heavy color commitment for an early play. I feel like it's usually a Bear with a good type here?

Daedalus19876 Zada Silverfur is pretty easy to spot. The color commitment isn't heavy. You've got 2/3 of the land base that can produce red mana or fix it for red mana d: I guess i'd say though that It's a bear in the place. The power and toughness on curve with the first strike is why I pick it over lambhold pacifist. Scourge Wolf does a lot better on rewarding you with using your combat tricks than Lambholt does d:

Thanks for the insight Ransanck, I also had another question, I may just be missing something simple but you mention in your FNM report that you were able to summon 8445 wolves at one point, I'm just wondering how that was possible? Did you have 4 silverfur's out with a ton of pump spells? I'm just having difficulty coming up with that result and it's probably just something that I'm overlooking. Thanks in advance.

Noobtendencies I had three silverfurs out, Zada, and like four wolves, then I played 5 one drop spells and it scaled lol

June 15, 2016 11:30 p.m.

wow, figured it was something to that effect, crazy stuff. I've only been able to play 2 games with it since I got it built so I haven't had the opportunity to pull of the killer combo yet but it'll be oh so glorious when I finally do.

I hope I'm not late to the party! :P

I was finally able to assemble this with Game Trails, as I have no Cinder Glades.

Now I need to find some people to play. I'm sure I'll take some lumps working out the mechanics...it's not like I'm the swiftest boat on the river.
