I don't think you need emerald medallions in here, as they only reduce generic mana cost and not G, nor will they have any effect on your X costs. The total CMC of this deck is so low that the emerald medallions are a waste of a card slot.

Instead, just put in Llanowar Elves . They will help you ramp mana along with the Nature's Lore, which will help your X cost hyrdas. Every green deck that isn't a combo-kill should use llanowars if it can... especially if it wants fast mana.

I was under the impression that the Emerald Medallion s had an effect on X costs. with that said thanks for the advice. I had been thinking about replacing Wood Elves with the Llanowar Elves , but now i am thinking i should use Elvish Archdruid and Gyre Sage along with the llanowars

Elvish Archdruid is an excellent card. You should swap out the land element for elf mana ramping. Keep Nature's Lore and Primal Bellow though. They're just good spells.

Find a way to add: 4x Elvish Archdruid , 4x Llanowar Elves , and 4x Howling Mine - you'd be cooking with fire.

The cards I would consider getting rid of to make room for the mana ramp are:

Definitely: Emerald Medallion , Yavimaya Elder (6/12 slots)

For the remaining 6 slots I'd choose between: Vinelasher Kudzu , Scute Mob , and maybe Blanchwood Armor .

Actually, what I would do: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/pyre2000-wooden-hydra-riff/

It would be fun to see the hydras work with the land mechanics you have; however, I think the elves are stronger if your point is to ramp into hydras.
