MrQuagsire, The Rings copy his resurrection ability so he would get 2 creatures for the price of 2BBB and 3 life.

Anywho, I know it's kind of a weird and weak reanimator, but perhaps Coffin Queen could work for you? I know in my meta she often goes untouched because "she sucks" and winds up being useful. Also Dictate of Erebos could work well because of Flash, even though it costs more than Pact.

This deck is absurd. I love it. +1

Rings of Brighthearth clearly says if it ISN'T a mana ability, which Chainer most definitely is.

Comprehensive rules, section 406, subsection 1: A mana ability is either (a) an activated ability without a target that could put mana into a player's mana pool when it resolves or (b) a triggered ability without a target that triggers from a mana ability and could produce additional mana. A mana ability can generate other effects at the same time it produces mana.

Soldevi Adnate is great for mana ramp. Better than the Altar in my opinion.

Never mind, he's not better because he can be used repeatedly, still a good card though, and for only $0.15

Try Sadistic Hypnotist for a sac outlet and it goes with your theme.

I am surprised that there is not a Smallpox/Pox. I can tell that there is limited deck space, though i think that both deserve a spot in this deck. Plus, Smallpox's m12 flavor text works pretty well with the deck.

Pox is now a must for this deck. Smallpox is too.. light in comparison. Thank you for giving me this gift of insanity.

To become one with death... An interesting proposition.

For this task, Death Cloud might be what you're looking for.

Not death, madness... though Death Cloud would be hilarious seeing as how much ramp I have. Reset the entire game... It's not a death cloud anymore, it's a madness cloud!

Looking for madness? Descent into Madness must be a good start.

Sadistic Sacrament is sure to bring about madness when you remove their key cards. You can laugh as you watch them scramble to get back the cards you just took away from them. That they can never get back... Also you;re elcome to take a look at my mono-black EDH deck They Just Wont Die

Nice! love the theme. The only cards I can think of that would fit (in addition to the ones you already have) are Nether Traitor and Nether Shadow , Though the Traitor is definitely better. Come to think of it: Oversold Cemetery

I've tried Sadistic Sacrament and it's usually a dead card...

illumfolly

Gravecrawler only has recursion when I have zombies on the field. Which I don't have many of. Otherwise, he's not much help..

GobboE

Nether Traitor was switched out for Bloodsoaked Champion for testing. Though I do love Nether Traitor. As for Oversold Cemetery.. I kind of like having lots of creatures in the yard so when I cast Chainer, my opponent's don't know what I'll get.

Thanks for the ideas!

Otherwise, he's not much help

all my wut. you have plenty of zombies (few as they may be). It's a very simple combo to set up, and people don't always see it coming. I would easily replace Bloodsoaked Champion with the ol crawlmeister.

Corollary: Bro, where is your Corpse Harvester

Bloodsoaked Champion replaced Gravecrawler because there were times when I didn't have any zombies on the field and didn't draw into any. His recursion is only good under that condition. That's why he's in my Korlash Zombie Tribal EDH.

Bloodsoaked is good as long as I attack which is a lot easier to accomplish. I currently have 2 zombie creatures in this build, I don't see the need for Corpse Harvester beyond mana ramp which I have plenty of already.

Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank I know the combo. I try to shy away from infinite combos and instant win.

Thanks for your suggestions though.

I fail to see how this is a Madness deck when not a single card has the madness keyword
