Creeping Renaissance or Praetor's Counsel may be better options than Mizzix's Mastery because by the time Mizzix becomes relevant, you'll really want to cast X cost spells, which you can't. With Counsel, you have those X costs in your hand to cast the following turn or combo with that Early Harvest, untap your lands then recast the relevant spells; otherwise you'll be recasting ramp and by turn 8 or 9 you will probably have 15 - 20 land already! Creeping is a cheaper version to get your your sorcery spells and repeat.
Life from the Loam is a card I throw in every green deck because with all the X cost stuff, having mana is important. You never know if someone is going to wipe land off the board crippling your deck. Life at least lets you get some of that back in your hand and if you ramped a ton of land from the deck you won't have any in there to cast anything you need.
Another possible suggestion are a touch of land hate for the purpose of letting you get set up - Flashfires and Boil are fantastic options of potentially shutting down opponents that can counter everything you do or board wipe constantly - which also sucks because you need tokens to copy stuff.

Walkman, definitely appreciate you coming back and giving more feedback. A couple things to note about your suggestions:
Creeping Renaissance wouldn't work in here. It only returns permanents. My grave typically only has sorceries and instants.
Mass land destruction is banned in my playgroup.life from the loam would be an awesome option if it wwasn't banned though. Boil and flashfires fall into the mass land destruction camp so I can't really play them.
You're right about mizzix's mastery and X spells not working. However I haven't found this to be a problem. I simply choose not to cast the X spells when I overload with it. The spell gives me awesome value for 8 mana. It would be far more mana intensive to return all the spells to hand and then hard cast them again. Regrowth, wildest dreams, and past in flames are recursion spells that do allow me to cheaply select those X spells and recast them.

Khirgan thanks for taking the time to comment. Sorry I'vebeen away from updating this deck in a while. I have purposely excluded reiterate. I avoid putting infinite combos in my decks just cuz I find I get bored of them quickly.
Battle Hymn on the other hand I could see fitting in here especially now that I have more token generation. Doubling Cube I will consider though I don't own a copy. I have a suspicion it may be "win more" though. The deck rarely has issues generating enough mana to get the job done. However I will still consider it. It may make more sense than mirari which I often find clunky for some reason

Have you checked Sunbird's Invocation yet? It seems pretty solid.

My recommendations would be Ruby Medallion, Emerald Medallion, and Helm of Awakening. Anything that allows you to ramp faster into your spells would make your deck more consistent. Personal opinion.

Star of Extinction for another board wipe + double Stone Rain?

Why not Decimate? Its great in any G/R and deals with a lot of stuff and offer a lot of value, even more if you conspire it!

Davihelio, Decimate is in there :) As you say it's great value!
Angry_Potatoes, I thought about Star of Extinction. The only reason I ultimately decided against it was that it is 7 CMC. Trying to keep the average CMC down.
AKBZ, a while back I purposely changed all the ramp to sorcery and instant based ramp so that it synergizes with Wort. Conspiring the ramp spells brings a ton of lands on to the battlefield (which is great for thinning out the deck and triggering Valakut or Avenger of Zendikar)
crowned, thanks for pointing out Sunbird's Invocation...I hadn't thought of that! I will consider it...my hesitation is that it is a permanent (and 6 CMC). I am very choosy with the permanents I have in here since they can't be copied with Wort.

Yeah, I somehow missed it. Great job with the deck!

@MegaMatt13 - Glad seing you still active on TO :) Shaper's Sanctuary is a super niche card, but has an extremely low CMC and does provide card advantage... I don't know where to put this myself either right now. Maybe it works best in Abzan Tokens.

Throne of the God Pharoah seems pretty tight for the deck, but the deck is so smooth idk if you even need it.

The changes in draw and token-generation really helped! I've fiddled around in Xmage a bit and sometimes I even forgot to play Wort, because it wasn't the fastest win. I was very doubtful about cutting all these caracteristic Gruul creatures, but the deck doesn't really need them. primal amulet and Hour of Devastation are great inclusions!

crowned, really happy you are having success with the changes!
I agree especially about primal amulet. once it transforms the deck just goes off.
I was hesitant to cut creatures too. it makes me feel vulnerable. however the deck just works better when very focused on instant and groceries. you can get to explosive burn so much faster

Hey bud, have you considered Glacial Chasm at all to help turtle and give you the time you need to set the world on fire?

Oh also Prismatic Omen might be something to consider if one of your main win conditions is Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle.
November 18, 2017 10:34 a.m.
@Khirgan it also synergizes with Beacon of Creation, but it's actually rather easy to get Valakut online and finish the game with it without any further help.

MegaMatt13 - Deck's performing well! I do approve of the changes, especially Search for tomorrow <3 (primal amulet was an auto-include right away). Unfortunately I just had 1 game yet, which didn't really work out well for me. Most mulligans felt oddly hard for me and sometimes you're really left out dry without draw - should be just my decisionmaking rather then deck construction. At this point, there's enough draw in the deck afaik.

crowned, happy you are still enjoying the deck!
Hmm...it's interesting that sometimes you find you're not drawing enough cards. There are a fair number of card draw spells and regrowth effects for card advantage. Soul's Majesty is decent if you want to throw in another spell. Seasons Past is another regrowth effect I've considered which can result in large card advantage.

MegaMatt13, it was just an awkward game and that must be it.
I played a turn 3 Xenagos, the Reveler thanks to Search for Tomorrow, Skullclamp following later. Unfortunately clamp got removed relatively quickly before drawing cards. I could play Boundless Realms without any way of copying it - felt really weird, but ended up with 12 lands in play, decked Pyromancer's Goggles and Hour of Devastation to keep the pace of the game relatively chill. Big problem was just that I had no outlet for all the mana. In hand I still had Early Harvest and Tempt with Vengeance, the latter was utter useless because of Impact Tremors and Authority of the Consuls (->annoying enchantment, especially against conspire).
In retrospect I should have kept a "lower" profile by keeping Boundless Realms in hand to copy it with Wort later on. By filtering that amount of lands you can be certain to draw into some gas. But again, Authority was out so I couldn't do Wort+Conspire.

crowned, ouch...yeah...Authority of the Consuls and Blind Obedience really slow this deck down. Gotta hope for removal with those enchantments :(

So I'm working on my own Wort deck and I was checking out which other decks on tapped out had. I would like to reiterate Sunbird's Invocation it uses cast so you can double the spells it casts as well. Who doesn't want free stuff?
I was wondering if you had problems with counterspells. I'm thinking of including Red Elemental Blast, Pyroblast and the green/red one that I can't think of the name at the moment as a way of ensuring my big X goes off.
I'm also considering running Channel for extra fuel/fun.
For another idea I've been thinking about is Strionic Resonator to copy, copies of spells with the Conspire trigger.
Thanks,
Tree

Treehugger003, thanks so much for the suggestions. As noted above, Channel is banned in Commander unless your playgroup specifically allows it.
As for Sunbird's Invocation, it's a powerful card but doesn't interact with X spells well since it will set X to 0. My version of the deck runs enough X spells for this to be problematic.
I used to have Pyroblast in here but actually found it to be unnecessary. If someone counterspells, they can only counter one of the two copies of the spell. I've found that most blue players psychologically feel as though this is "wasting" a counterspell since one copy still gets through. If your meta is heavy on blue though, it still may be worth running since it is very cheap removal!
Strionic Resonator is an interesting suggestion! Does it work with the way conspire is worded though? Strionic Resonator says in the reminder text that it can be used with "When", "Whenever" or "At" triggers. I don't see conspire being worded that way. I could be wrong though.

So you put in Mana Geyser but don't have Reiterate? If there are 7 lands tapped that's infinite mana to play around with (copy of Mana Geyser will resolve first and keep copying the original one indefinitely with Reiterate for a net of +1 each time). Battle Hymn could do the same thing for you at instant speed. Another copule of cards you might wanna look at are Doubling Cube Lotus Cobra and Howl of the Horde. They are all stupid good in this kind of deck and should be considered. Some options for you maybe.
