I'm still kind of on the fence about Drana, Liberator of Malakir. It was included as a 3 of in the first version of this deck, but I ended up taking it out for Feat of Resistance. It's ability is great and all, but I can't attack relying on it to hit, and only my other attackers get boosted.
The anafenzas I wouldn't even consider as less than 4 each. They really are the core of this deck.
Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll try drana against a few different archetypes to see how effective it is.

Seems to me like Zacoly is confused about the Anafenza's interacting with each other and the legendary rule. They have different names so both can be out. Also Daghatar doesn't interact with hardened scales in that way as his ability says move not "put/give".
As for the deck, I brewed up the same thing and have a few points of advice. I think 25 lands might be one or two too many sinvlce your curve tops out at 3. I would look to add another creature, and I think you really want to get Dranas in your board. She is just another bomb drop in a deck filled with them. Giving all your creatures +1-3 counters per turn is insane. If you do, I would look at including a playset of collected company. This unfortunately doesn't hit walkers, but Anafenzas, Dranas, Hydras, and avatars are all deadly targets.
You don't need to do this of course, but with swapping 6 cards out to your sideboard it gives you an ultra aggro look that pretty much no deck can match. I would recommend taking out at least a couple feat of resistance and the hallowed moonlights since you already have Abzan- charms and anafenza foremost.

TrackerD Thanks for the suggestions, seems like a pretty good idea. What do you think I should take out for company and drana? I was thinking the Servant of the Scales, a swamp, and wasn't sure what else.

I wound up taking the pain lands out of my deck (Hardened Scalelords) pretty early-on after rotation. How have they been in your deck?
If you can find the room, I highly recommend moving Drana, Liberator of Malakir from the maybeboard to your main.

I lost one game to them (aristocrats bounced my Anafenza twice and I lost 8 life playing it in total). Other than that, they're pretty good.
Given that every recommendation I've had so far is telling me to add Drana, Liberator of Malakir so I think I should give her a shot. Recommendations for what to take out would be appreciated.

I wonder if maybe the sideboard might be a good place. You could swap out Hangarback Walker with Drana, Liberator of Malakir against decks that have Hangarback hate. That's my initial thought.

I'm currently building an Abzan deck focused on +1/+1 counters as well. Some cards arrived today and i'll update my deck here tonight. If you could take a look and give some advise, i'll be helpfull! Btw, great deck, liked it!

I like your deck, alot, BUT If it were mine I would use fewer Anafenzas. and put in the Drana, Liberator of Malakir If you are going to use a ton of legendary creatures, then at least use ones that can be on the board at the same time.
I have always wanted to pair Hardened Scales with Daghatar the Adamant, then he could remove one counter to add somewhere between 1-4 counters to another creature, at instant speed. Makes for a good combat trick, maybe it's not a tier 1 addition, but it sure sounds fun.
