I've been trying to build a deck around Phylactery Lich for a while now. This is brilliant man. So simple and cheap. Excellent stuff.

Built this deck quite a while ago and still having a blast with it. Good stuff for sure.

I've never seen this deck being played. What's not working?

It's too slow and there are plenty of removal effects that don't care about indestructible.

This deck is really fun. I just built it on MTGO.

im reviewing your deck right now for the cheap deck club and as far as i can tell your deck isnt competitive enough. almost any deck in modern wont have any problem beating this. if you would like to try and change my mind you'll have to run tests and let me know what decks your deck has an even or favorable match up against.

I would change Darksteel Relic for Bonesplitter, Chromatic Star, Darksteel Ingot or Expedition Map. Something that accelerates a turn the Worldslayer.

love this deck, but honestly. 9 out of 10 games the deck gave me to much land.

I'm so sorry for going dark for so long. All of my decks were stolen and it really knocked the wind out of me - kind of lost my fire for the game for a good long while.

But the whole point of my ultra-budget decks was for people to have a cheap, silly, good-time with their friends, and I'm so glad that they've continued to accomplish that. Thank you all so much for your kind words and I hope you all continue to enjoy these decks for as long as you can!

Opponent played a wall and I lost. I need anti wall sideboard tech

if you need to modify the deck to include removal, take out some of the more fragile pieces, like Worldslayer or you can lower the count of other equipments or Brass Squires. then pop in your removal. simple things like Doom Blade and Go for the Throat have been fine for me. though, at one point i had a pair of Damnations sitting around that i popped in for fun. was actually super effective lol

Im just stumbling on this deck and I cant wait to put it together and try it out! The Witch-King idea is awesome, but I also get a Horcrux feel with the Darksteel Relic and Phylactery Lich combo. Sorry I didnt come across this sooner. Thanks +1 on this deck

What about splashing white for Sigarda's Aid?

Are there any good cards from the most recent sets to add to this?

have you considered the new coloured artifact lands like Mistvault Bridge? it means you play out lich on turn three without having needed to drop darksteel equipment first

the would also allow you to splash for blue for Ensoul Artifact which would could act as backup copy's of lich

personally i also like the vecna set in mon B artifact list but that's just because is fun rather than hyper practical Eye of Vecna, Hand of Vecna, The Book of Vile Darkness worth noting that hand of vecna is also a solid pump equipment
